“Absolutely beautiful Hotel, the best i've stayed in so far”
Reviewed March 17, 2012

Beautiful room especially comparing the other great hotels in Agra. Room was large, scious and the staff were very plesent and respectful. The architecture is similar to te mughal era structures that you find across Agra. Breakfast too is well laid out withite a few options for all palates. Overall a beautiful experience and definately recommended

My two friends and I stayed here for a quick one night stay during our tour of India. I thought the experience was first class. The rooms are big and beautifully appointed. The grounds are very lush with flowers and fountains. The service was excellent. I loved the beautiful entrance way and receiving a garland of flowers upon entry. My only complaint is that during our dinner dining at the restaurant’s outdoor buffet restaurant, my friends and I got completely eaten up by mosquitoes. I alone, must have had at least 100 bites on my feet and calves. That was unfortunate, however the food, service and ambiance at the restaurant was very good. Although our room was lovely, the button on the wall in the bathroom to flush the toilet was very hard to maneuver. My friends and I remarked that you really have to put 100% of your weight and strength into your press just to be able to flush the toilet. I don’t know if this is with all of the rooms, or just unique to our room #151, but you will get a workout. It is a very nice place to relax and stroll after a long day touring the Taj Mahal. I would definitely recommend it to friends (but bring your mosquito spray!!)

The positive was the room. It was expensive but it was big, and luxurious. Fortunately ours was away from the building work that seems to be going on at the back of the hotel.

But everything else is a negative. Breakfast was ok but otherwise food is terrible. Really terrible. The service is also very poor. Trying to be efficient but generally unable to execute the simplest command. The free wi-fi system was the worst we encountered in India.

It's out of town so you'll need a tuktuk or car.

I would definitely not recommend it.

Great hotel- breakfast was extensive and delicious. Beautiful hotel, oasis in Agra- service was great too. Rooms are divided into courtyards which give it a very private and exclusive feel. Room was large and really nice. Television didn't have a full range of channels as the one in the other room that my family were staying, within 20 minutes, my television had been replaced with a new one- great service.

The facade of this hotel is grand and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, the hotel completely lacks service. The employees are poorly trained for a hotel of this size and location and quite often it was difficult to find someone to provide assistance when needed. The hotel is not well maintained. The furniture at the pool is dirty and the playground equipment broken. When we went to the pool I couldn't find an availalbe lounge chair with a cushion. My children and I walked around the pool a few times and then I put our things down on a seat without a cushion. A man that I walked my 3 times eventually came over and asked if I would like a cushion. Apparently he was the pool attendant. There was no obvious bar or food service at the pool. The next day there were no towels out at the pool and no pool attendant. My son found some towels in the men's locker room. In the evening someone knocked on our door and asked if we needed bath towels. When I requested some he couldn't find any clean towels to give us. This hotel has a lot of potential if there was more focus on service. Don't try to pay w/ AMEX the swiper hasn't been working for some time.
I am sure there is somewhere to stay in Agra that offers better value

This hotel is a lush oasis of calm and beauty, from the scent of rose when one enters the lobby to the Mogul style gardens. The rooms are tastefully appointed in great Indian style but with lovely western style bathrooms and endless hot water. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with both Indian and Western choices. The Indian food was some of the best I had. Loved the masala dosa, cooked to order, hot and fresh. Let the atmosphere of the hotel take you into the world of Mogul royalty. This hotel was another great suggestion from our wonderful tour company, Indian Moments.

A very enjoyable stay at this first class hotel - the pictures on the gallery page do do it justice - the gardens really do look lovely and the extra lights at night at to the overall effect. We were in one of the two storey courtyards around the gardens - the rooms and service could not be faulted - bathroom great. Food of good quality and friendly service - although there was a nice pool just off the gardens there was no one using it and the bar was not stocked or being used - perhaps we just caught the end of the winter season. Front service was first class for us - could not do enough to help. All together a nice stay.
