New, modern and good quality western style hotel on a good location near Taj Mahal. The only drwaback was the party going on until midnight, ans being on the firet floor, the glasses in our room werebvibrating on the table. See other reviews on this topic. Very helpful traveldesk.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November 2012. After arriving at Delhi airport following an overnight flight from London we then spent several hours in a car before arriving at the hotel feeling knackered. The welcome from the reception staff was very friendly and attentive and although we'd arrived early (approx 09:30 in the morning) they did a brilliant job of making a room available to us within about 10 minutes of arriving.

The rooms were a decent size and the bathrooms had a large showering area with rainshower but no bath. Everything about the room felt modern and upto date (as it should do in such a young hotel) and there were plenty of English language channels on the TV. Cleaning was thorough and un-obtrusive and was often done while we were down at breakfast. The beds were large and comfortable with plenty of pillows.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and we never had a problem finding something to eat in the mornings. The main restaurant was ok for lunch and dinner and whilst we thought it was quite expensive at the time I think on reflection (compared to the other hotels we went on to stay at) it was actually quite reasonably priced. We also tried the specialist Indian restaurant which was fun but the menu was fixed so you got what you were given. It also seemed a bit silly that drinks that were available in one outlet within the hotel weren't available in others (e.g. cans of coke were available in the lobby bar but in the main restaurant they would only pour you coke from a large bottle although cans of diet coke were available - bizarre).

Outside, the pool is a good size but tends to be in the shade most of the day so the water was a bit nippy when we visited and you couldn't stay in there for long. Location wise the hotel is about 1km fro the Taj Mahal and 5km from Agra Fort (don't overlook the Fort, it's well worth a visit). Although some people walk to the Taj we used the hotel's electric buggy service which takes you right to the East Gate entrance. Aside from that Agra is a hectic city and by far and away the worst place for traffic that we came across (and that's saying something in India).

One incident that occurred in the hotel on our middle night there was a loud party in the outside grounds of the hotel which went on well past midnight. It wasn't just loud it was shaking the room. Now I may well be an old fuddy-duddy but a hotels basic role in life is to provide a comfortable place to sleep at night and on this occassion the Radisson failed in it's basic duties. Of course we complained a couple of times to reception but nothing happened and the party continued until just before 01:00 in the morning I think. Having failed to provide us with a comfortable nights sleep the hotel did at least partially redeem themselves the next day. As we returned from a days sightseeing at Fathepur Sikri and Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary we were met by a manager form the hotel who had learnt of our complaints from the night shift staff. He offered his sincere apologies as well as a free eveing meal from the main buffet (the best meal we ate at the hotel - and not just because it was free!). This was much appreciated especially as we hadn't demanded anthing other than an end to the noise!

The hotel offers free wi-fi although we found the signal a bit weak and intermittent.

Overall we both enjoyed this hotel very much and I would probably have given it 5 stars if not for the noise incident.

We went to Agra for a short trip and decided to have dinner at Daawat-e-Nawaab. We found the service to be excruciatingly slow. We had to wait for nearly 60 minutes for a table for 7 ppl, including a child, even though we had booked well in advance. There was some confusion and they had reserved a table only for 5 people. While arranging for a table they made suggestions like can you sit on two separate tables. I would have never expected such an outrageous suggestion from a reasonably branded hotel. Once we got the table, we waited another 20 minutes before we saw any sight of the food. For those who are counting that is 80 minutes of waiting, only hope being that the food would be "worth it". Then the food arrived. It was extremely spicy making it impossible to enjoy delicate food like Galauti Kebabs, or for that matter any of the Kebabs. Now since we found it early on that the food is extremely spicy for even brave adults, we requested the main course for the child, since over an hour of waiting can make even the best behaved children cranky. That main course took another 15 minutes to come. We managed to feed the child as most of the child main course again was inedible due to the chillies. So that's the child taken care of somehow. Lets come to the adult service. We ordered a mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian kebabs as two people were vegetarians. They chose to serve first the vegetarian three-four courses of kebabs so that the non-vegetarians can look on. Once they were done with them, they served the non-vegetarians with four courses so that the vegetarians can look on. Was it too much to expect that they could serve both set of people at the same time. I am sure restaurants can handle tables with mixed choices a little better than this.
Lets come to the main course. The thali was supposed to have three curries and a dal. They served the three curries early on and the dal arrived after we had nearly finished our food. What a pity!!! for the the dal was the best preparation of the day. In short: Service: Disastrous, food: not well made.

Room Tip: If you are staying at the Radisson, avoid the restaurant.

Firstly, I have to say Agra is hideous, if it wasn't for Agra Fort and obviously the Taj Mahal, you'd never bother. The Raddisson is although a little sterile and a smidge expensive, a lovely, clean and modern hotel. The location couldn't be more perfect for an easy 1km walk to the East Gate, or an even shorter walk to the Oberoi for an early evening Kingfisher watching the sun set over the Taj. The pool is ok, although not in especially glamorous surrounds, not that that matters. But the rooms are large, clean, modern and stylish. Tthe buffet breakfast was extensive and really you can't fault this hotel. Word of warning - if you do go to the Taj for a dawn experience (highly recommended) be prepared for a longish queues until the gate opens but it does move quickly. Wear plenty of mossie spray and cover up, wear a head scarf etc - the mossies were the size of small birds while you're waiting in the queue! i researched hotels in Agra hard and was undecided between this and the Trident (which also looked lovely and perhaps a little more sophisticated) - the location of the Raddission won hands down and from memory, the Radisson was far better value for money compared to the Trident. And if you're anything like us, we were barely in the room, which is a bit of a shame! Stay at the Raddisson - it was perfect and a bit of a luxurious treat compared to other accomodation options.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher pool facing room, we were high up, and our room was perfect and dead quiet

Great location, ~1 Km away from the Taj Mahal.
Little expensive, but the service was good. We had two rooms for a night.
The staff were very helpful and courteous.
We had dinner/breakfast here. The food was great, had a good selection of Indian, Italian, Thai and many more.

We stayed for one night at the Raddisson Blu, Agra. The hotel is right by the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort is very close as well. The facilities are quite nice. We stayed is a "Business" room with access to the lounge. The room overlooked the pool and slums beyond the pool. After the visit to the Taj, which is spectacular by the way, we went to the lounge to have drinks. Very limited drinks and canapés were on offer. The next morning, we went for breakfast and the lounge was closed - no explanation. We had a light lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Very expensive but very poor quality.

I chose this hotel because of the location. It is facing a quiet street, which leads to the east gate of Taj Mahal in 1 km (about a half mile). The hotel has several restaurants, however, the main restaurant was very crowded when I wanted to have dinner, and as a solo traveler I was politely asked to check the poolside BBQ restaurant. I was so hungry that I ate at the poolside restaurant. It was cozy with nice ambience, and the restaurant manager was very kind. Although the price was quite reasonable, the fish BBQ that I ordered was tasteless and boring. The staff in the hotel generally seems very friendly and courteous, and it is nice that the hotel has some shops that sell souvenirs and Indian artwork. The room I stayed was a nice business class, which was clean and functional with wi-fi, but the bathroom only had a shower, no bathtub, which was disappointing. It didn't have amenities such as cotton balls & Q-tips, shower gel, mouth wash, etc., which I would expect when I stay in a 5 star hotel with the rate almost $200 per night.
