Our stay at N.Homestay hostel added a truly an amazing experience to our stay in Agra. Coming from the Netherlands, we stayed in Agra for 3 and half days in May 2013 and Shiron and his Mother (and his Father) were the most gracious and helpful hosts one could wish for. He helped us from beginning to end, from arranging our transportation from the airport in New Delhi, to our return trip and every step in between. He help us to arrange our daily tours and activities and giving the most useful tips to maximize our Agra experience in the short few days we had their. He went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant and accommodating as possible, providing us with tips on how to explore economically and how to bargain so we would not be taken advantage of while still giving a fair price to vendors. Shiron is a very honest person, who can tell you exactly what is fair or not, and after my stay with him we can wholeheartedly say, he is a trustworthy person that can be relied on for good information while in the Agra area. We cannot begin to say enough about Shiron and N.Homestay. It is located in a very convenient space, which makes it very easy to get around. And the rooms were very comfortable, clean and peaceful to sleep in. They showed us a few of the rooms they had available and allowed us to choose this remarkable room with a great balcony where you could sit and enjoy the weather while enjoying a mango drink (thank you Shiron for keeping the fridge well stocked with these and water, much needed and appreciated). Also we have to thank his mother for breakfast every morning, and for their suggestions on restaurants to eat at.
Also we noticed another reviewer was critical of Homestay. We think that person might have been having a bad day and been a little bit irrational for some reason because their account is not even close to what we can imagine or experienced while staying there.
A little bit of advice, on the trip advisor site it seems to keep saying that it cannot confirm availability of rooms and suggests some other places to look at, this is incorrect and I have emailed trip advisor about this on their behalf. Please take the time to go directly to N.Homestay website to check on availability because told us that they could not confirm availability even though a simple email to Shiron through their website allowed us to book a room.
We recommend staying here and when we are back in the area we look forward to staying here again. Thank you for the experience Shiron (and Mom). Look forward to coming back.

Room Tip: the room with a balcony was great!

After traveling around Asia for almost two weeks, it was such a relief to finally stay in such a great place! The owners are so friendly and helpful and the rooms are really comfortable: AC, hot water and wifi. In addition it has a good location, not too far from the railway station, Agra Fort or Taj Mahal. I can highly recommend this place!

Fantastic value. Clean, quiet, comfortable, welcoming, excellent location.
Unless you are specifically looking for an upmarket hotel: stay here (if you can).

Shiron and the glamorous Heather were wonderful hosts.
First morning there, small issue with the hot water and this reviewer goes down to discuss with Heather.
Hit with the immortal response "this is India darling" - what more is there to say ?

We learned a lot about life in India from staying and chatting just one night with this lovely family.

Excellent Restaurant recommendation.

We stayed at N.Homestay for just one of our two nights in Agra because they were booked for the second. We were picked up promptly from the train station with a pre-arranged taxi and taken to the home stay. Upon arrival we were very warmly greeted by the owners, Shiron and his mother. They were some of the friendliest people we met in India and were great fun to talk to (and their English was fantastic). They made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was fine with the room--which was really nice and comfortable with a big bed, nice balcony, a big/clean bathroom, free wifi, and free breakfast. They are really up on what guidebooks are saying and the types of things that tourists look for and are really into making N. Homestay the best it can be--also giving us useful information about safety and scams in the area. They gave us a suggestion for a place for dinner that was Southern Indian cuisine and it was excellent. We slept really well and the following morning did a tour of the Agra area. We arranged to do a taxi tour of the area with someone associated with the home stay. While it was a nice day, we decided later that we would have preferred to save money and just walk to the Taj Mahal, which would have been very feasible as the home stay is close by. Either way, they were booked for our second night but let us store our bags during the day and arranged for us to stay at another home stay around the corner with people they knew--who were also very nice. All in all, N. Homestay was an excellent choice for a stay in Agra and I would definitely recommend. But book in advance because they are getting popular!

My wife and I stayed at this delightful property and it lived up to the reviews I had previously read. Mrs Haider, the owner, greeted us warmly and after a minimum of formalities we were shown to our clean and comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the quiet street where monkeys were playing. Mrs Haider directed us to an excellent vegetarian restaurant nearby, and when we returned, Shiron, the proprietor's son, chatted to us and gave us very sound advice about visiting the Taj Mahal at dawn the following morning, which we did. On our return, Mrs Haider cooked us a delicious omelette for breakfast and chatted amicably about India and our trip. It was like we were her honoured guests staying in her home, which, to a degree, we were. We checked out of our room and our luggage was well looked after as we took in the sights of Agra before returning to collect it and head off for our train to Jaipur. If you can get get a booking at N Homestay when visiting Agra I am sure you will not regret it. An top notch Bed & Breakfast.

Room Tip: I believe all the rooms to be good.

In July 2012, my wife and I drove down from Delhi to Agra to attend a wedding, and stayed at N Home Stay. Shiron and his Mom are exceptionally warm and friendly. We met as if we were meeting friends after a long time. Shiron actively helped and guided us in finding the wedding venue at night.

If in Agra again, I have no reason not to stay at N Homestay. Keep it up, Shiron. Highly recommended.
