“Great find in Agra”
Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for five nights whilst travelling round India. We thought this was a really good find. The rooms were ridiculously cheap, even for India, and really good value. Located in a residential compound which meant there wasn't too much hassle around the area.

TV had loads of English channels, the food in the on-site restaurant was really nice but we did have to wait a while for it (this was because the hotel manager did all the cooking himself). Food was worth the wait though. Nice rooftop restaurant with view of Taj in the distance.

Wifi in rooms, although the connection was poor at times. Manager was extremely friendly and helpful with booking trips and train tickets and was honest about commission. Location is not that close to Taj but is walkable in about 30-45 mins and not hard to find.

Overall, this was probably the best hotel we stayed in in India and would definitely recommend for a good value stay in Agra.

i really really enjoy the home stay as well, delicious food, nice sunset view from rooftop , We had a lovely stay. The people working there are really nice and a lot of fun. The driver from the hotel is great- he waits everywhere for you so you always feel safe. They also help you with other stuff, like your train tickets or drivers you next destination. It was a little loud in the night, because the electricity...we are very very happy come this home stay ,The staff, and especially the owner were very helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant on the roof with a view which is beautiful in the morning and evening with good food,i really enjoy

I have no idea where the good reviews come from.

The bed bed had the dirtiest sheets I have seen in my live. Even sleeping in my sleeping bag I felt dirty. Rest of the room and bathroom also rather dirty and small. Mosquito nets on the windows had holes. no wonder in the morning we found a dozen mosquitoes sitting on the net we brought ourselves. The fan made a loud noise all night long, but without it heat was insupportable. Additionally there was a lot of noise from dogs and residents in the street. We hardly got any sleep that night.

The service was pathetic. No friendly welcome, the owner refused to call us a tuk-tuk, when we insisted that we wanted to go to the south gate, not the east gate. I can only guess but probably there was a smaller commission for him? In the end we managed easily to find one ourselves for 100 rps although the hotel is in a residential area, far from all touristic facilities

only plus of this hotel was the hot water in the bathroom.

The staff, and especially the owner were very helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant on the roof with a view which is beautiful in the morning and evening with good food (especially the omelette!). You can have your own Rickshaw driver to help take you around to see everything, which is important because really nothing is in walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable, but ours had no window so it was very dark with the lights off. Overall, very recommended!

Staying in pyrenees was a good experience. There was a special view to see Taj mahal on the roof top. and also BBQ. Staying here made us feel safe and host here was very nice and treated us like his own friend. Really recommanded.

The staff is great, the owner is very helpful and speaks good English with a mindset for tourist needs without trying to rip you off like most other places. The food on the roof top is excellent and reasonably priced, the cook is also very friendly. Use the hotel's rickshaw driver, a very relaxed and kind man willing to take you wherever you need and offers his honest help and advice when needed. No pressure to spend money where you don't want to. Overall, the room was fine, comfortable, a tv, ceiling fan and balcony. felt safe the whole time and calm relaxed atmosphere. The linens where a bit dirty, I suggest using your own anyway in India. Highly recommend! Thank you for a much needed relaxing stay Pyrenees!
