I have no idea where the good reviews come from.

The bed bed had the dirtiest sheets I have seen in my live. Even sleeping in my sleeping bag I felt dirty. Rest of the room and bathroom also rather dirty and small. Mosquito nets on the windows had holes. no wonder in the morning we found a dozen mosquitoes sitting on the net we brought ourselves. The fan made a loud noise all night long, but without it heat was insupportable. Additionally there was a lot of noise from dogs and residents in the street. We hardly got any sleep that night.

The service was pathetic. No friendly welcome, the owner refused to call us a tuk-tuk, when we insisted that we wanted to go to the south gate, not the east gate. I can only guess but probably there was a smaller commission for him? In the end we managed easily to find one ourselves for 100 rps although the hotel is in a residential area, far from all touristic facilities

only plus of this hotel was the hot water in the bathroom.

The staff, and especially the owner were very helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant on the roof with a view which is beautiful in the morning and evening with good food (especially the omelette!). You can have your own Rickshaw driver to help take you around to see everything, which is important because really nothing is in walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable, but ours had no window so it was very dark with the lights off. Overall, very recommended!

We had a lovely stay. The people working there are really nice and a lot of fun. The driver from the hotel is great- he waits everywhere for you so you always feel safe. They also help you with other stuff, like your train tickets or drivers you next destination. It was a little loud in the night, because the electricity went off and the fan made funny noises, but in the end that is a funny story as well.

Staying in pyrenees was a good experience. There was a special view to see Taj mahal on the roof top. and also BBQ. Staying here made us feel safe and host here was very nice and treated us like his own friend. Really recommanded.

The staff is great, the owner is very helpful and speaks good English with a mindset for tourist needs without trying to rip you off like most other places. The food on the roof top is excellent and reasonably priced, the cook is also very friendly. Use the hotel's rickshaw driver, a very relaxed and kind man willing to take you wherever you need and offers his honest help and advice when needed. No pressure to spend money where you don't want to. Overall, the room was fine, comfortable, a tv, ceiling fan and balcony. felt safe the whole time and calm relaxed atmosphere. The linens where a bit dirty, I suggest using your own anyway in India. Highly recommend! Thank you for a much needed relaxing stay Pyrenees!

first of all the hotel is in the residential part of city and is not easy to locate which makes u suspicious that the owner has converted his own home into a hotel. so in short u get exactly that, a home disguised in the form of a hotel. there is definite lack of professionalism with very limited staff to help u. also the owner and staff focus solely on the foreign tourists ignoring the indians as it is easier to rip them off. the auto driver(bablu) who picks u up frm the station grossly overcharges u and u feel pressurised to use their auto services through out the trip while they charge much more than d normal fare. there are frequent fluctuations in electric supply, n when light goes u have to make do with a measly fan in d summer heat. there is no phone service so if u have any complaints u have to go all the way down the stairs to the reception, where many times no one is there. very bad experience!!!

Room Tip: dont take the first room they show u.

Awesome place, one of the nicest places we stayed in India. Walking distance to the Taj, the owner is really nice. The rooftop restaurant does good food at a good price, we ate there a few times but paid for everything on check out and to our surprise everything was exactly right, no discrepancies whatsoever, a rarity. Would definitely recommend. You also may be able to get a better price if you contact them directly.
