This is a great operation which rescues performing sloth bears and elephants from lives of abuse. You can visit the animals and talk to the staff and learn more about the projects they do. Make a small donation if you can - they're not really equipped to handle many visitors and really appreciate any help you can provide.

A friend told us about this, and we are so glad we added it to our itinerary. The access security was a little overwhelming and scary, but the visit to the Bear Rescue centre was definitely worth it. Pity we couldn't take photos of our visit to remember and share the good work they are doing.

While initially depressing, the sanctuary is doing an important deed for the animals -- and the community. They are doing great job. Worth seeing.

Me and my boyfriend went to visit the Sloth bears after reading reviews on tripadvisor. It took an hour to get there and we spent less then 30mins in the place. The man that greeted us was very nice and told us all about what they do. And i believe the place is excellent for what they are doing and we watched a very moving video. But really watching the video and a quick walk past some sleeping bears was all there is to see. I would recommend that you visit there website and send the money you would on cab fair and tips and make a donation to them!!!

It is sad that the bears were used as props for mankind to make money from, but they do have a great life here at the rescue. They might allow you to take photos, but ask that you don't post them. The place looked nice with large enclosures, enrichment for the bears and nice hospital and food prep rooms.
