“Good for short stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

I booked this hotel from my Varanasi agent while travelling to Jaipur. I stayed here for 1 night to see taj Mahal then i moved to jaipur. This hotel has very nice interior decoration and het staffs are very helping. Rooms are quite spacious and decorated. It is good choice for short stay as there are lots of mosquito.

Spacious Room and welcoming.
Typical decoration of Maharajas ... Beautiful.
Friendly staff.
On the roof...Overlooking of the TAJ MAHAL.
The surrounding area is not very pretty, but for short stays is a very nice hotel.
It has two dining areas. Rooftop and ground floor.
The roof at night has few light and some mosquito .. which becomes annoying during dinner time. It is preferable to choose the ground floor because it has air conditioning.

Best part of the hotel was that the bedrooms were quite large. However, they were very oddly decorated, with mainly plain walls and decorated ceilings (!) and the furniture, although not very good quality, was painted in heavy gold or silver. An odd combination and for us not attractive. Bed was just about OK to sleep on though on the hard side. A tiny dressing table and not much space to spread out one's stuff. The cupboard was quite rickety and extremely dusty and we certainly wouldn't want to keep any of our clothes in there. There was a medium sized flat screen TV but it wasn't working so I can't comment on the range of programmes. There was a decent sized mini-fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities and no complimentary water provided – so bring your own! Lighting was poor, very dim and no bedside lights, even just on one side, very poor for this day and age. Air-con was very old and grubby but did at least work. The views were pretty useless, mainly of a run down area.
The bathroom was better, old style but a decent size. However, only an in-bath shower which I hate, especially as there was room for a proper shower. Also water pressure was low and not satisfactory.
We only had breakfast there and did not otherwise eat at the restaurant so can't comment on the food other than breakfast. That was taken in a room in the basement and was just about OK. Not at all great but eatable with a small number of mainly Indian options. Mind you we arrived just after a big group had finished eating and the staff seemed to be in no hurry to replenish all the items so maybe there was more choice earlier - though we arrived 10 minutes after the advertised opening time. The chef also seemed forgetful as the waiter had to remind him 4 times (we were near the serving hatch so could hear) about my additional cheese omelette which I eventually got just as we were leaving!
None of the staff seemed at all friendly, not rude but certainly not friendly and mainly on the surly side. No-one ever seemed to smile. Reception also had the cheek to ask me to fill out a questionnaire just when we were leaving asking us to rate the hotel in various areas – but only gave 2 possible answers, good or bad. Crazy as virtually nothing in life is a straight good or bad!
Location of the hotel was pretty poor. Nothing at all nearby or within easy walking distance. In fact it was not even on the main road but off a side road and then a dirt track, behind the main road. Very dark and quiet at night so peaceful but a bit worrying if one wanted to go for a walk. However, by car it wasn't very far to the Taj Mahal, about 10 minutes.
Just about acceptable for a brief overnight stay but I most definitely wouldn't want to stay at the Siris18 any longer than that.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lift were better as less noisy

Very nice and decent hotel. I checked in early The hotel was kind enough to give me early check-in without any extra cost. I was given a room on a lobby level and the Wi-Fi was easily available in my room though there was no view. The room was nicely maintained and very clean, Bathroom was huge. The Lenin in the room were worn out need to change. Well filled Minibar. Staffs were very nice and friendly but not the higher level managers they even don't bother to wish their guest who is staying in their hotel for two days when meet.

Food is just average the price does not match with the quality, quantity and presentation of food. Its with quite heavy Tag . Proova Tiwari was very helpful made my booking and arrangements very easy thanks a lot.

overall a very nice stay quietly located and enjoyed a lot.

The room decoration is beautiful and stylish. The service is very friendly and considerate. Location is quiet and nice. Rooftop restaurant is enjoyable. It will be great if wifi could be available in rooms but not only in the lobby. Buffet breakfast will be great if more options could be offered.

This place is just awesome, located just 10 mins away from the Taj. Food is great too. Their service is awesome, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were also very well maintained and clean, though some of the rooms on the ground floor do not have a great window view which opens up to a construction site which is an open air toilet, so I decided to keep the windows closed. Other than that, this place is great and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want to keep the room windows open, then pick rooms on higher floors.

The hotel is strategically located. Food is excellent. Buffet breakfast is good though the variety is not much. The staff are very courteous and customer friendly. Rooms are not kept clean. This is one area, where the hotel is required to focus.

Room Tip: Value for money
