We arrived in Ooty following a fantastic journey on the toy train (one of the most memorable journey's we have ever experienced). We were collected from the station by the hotel's driver and on arrival welcomed with hot towels and drinks.
As a group of six we had three rooms ranging from a standard to a suite all very spacious, clean and comfortable. Whilst the rooms are a little dated we felt this really added to the charm of the place and much preferred this hotel to some of the more soulless chains which we stayed in elsewhere in India. We especially enjoyed the roaring fire each evening.
This hotel provided a haven for relaxation following an intense sightseeing week in Rajasthan. Highlights included the delicious food and a sightseeing tour of the local area including a tea factory organised by the hotel. One of our favourite moments was getting lost in the big market in the centre of Ooty.More
