I have been here with my kids during a sight seeing trip to Ooty. As many of my friends told me , we went there lots expectation but it was very unfortunate that there was no flowers , other than few dry plants.may be we were not not lucky enough to see the flowers.

This is one garden everyone should visit of you like roses, there are many varieties to appreciate and very well taken care. Covering a vast area, the gardens are full of different variety of roses and fortunately there are staff around to make sure the flowers are not plucked.

The board at the entry reads "World's best rose garden". I am sure whoever put up such a message has not seen any other parts of the world. The charge you Rs 50 for taking a still camera and Rs 100 for video camera. May be it's the wrong season, the garden did not look any good and I felt deceived.

The rose garden is a must visit place even in offseason. There are 100s of roses with name tags for each of them. We did a slow walk along each of the walkways taking in the amazing colours. The best of the lot were the multi-coloured roses.

One downside is any glance beyond the rose garden is an eyesore with its concrete jungle façade of construction gone wrong in an ecologically sensitive hill station!
