Location: Hotel is located in the Outskirts of the Ooty. Far from the main places. Not a great scenic beauty.
Food:The food was extremely bad. Most of the items available in the menu was not available and what were available was terrible.
Service: It is ok so i did not bother to give the tips.
Room: Yes it is ok cannot say good or excellent.

Palve Sugavasam is in a remote place with beautiful view. Everything is good here except for their restaurant pricing and the extra charge for Heater, which suppose to come as part of room facilities. May be, heater may not required at the April-May time, but definitely required at the Dec/Jan timing.

Since, you will not find even a tea shop near this hotel, you may to pay an hefty price for your dinner. Their complimentary breakfast is better and much better than where I stayed in Conoor (MGM Resorts).

This hotel is pretty new and still the room work is not fully completed. For eg., in the bathroom, they have the connection for shower, but they haven't fixed it fully.

Also, you will not even find a
- bottle of water or a drinking electrical water heater
- no towels

They will not clean the room or change the bedsheets on a daily basis, which is pathetic.

Their restaurant food is good, but the cost is pretty high and you have no other option but to have your dinner in their restaurant as there won't be any shops/restaurant near this place.

Room Tip: The heaters will not come by default. it comes at the extra per day charge of Rs.400. If you stay m...

This is the right place to stay for family. I stay there with my family for 3 days, the hotel was spacious and clean. The staffs are very friendly and polite, location of the hotel is far away from city and very peaceful situated near a tea estate. It is little difficult to find the place from the town. I would reommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Ooty. Food is ok and but little costly. The service are fast and good.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the tea estate is the best

Getting to hotel : The hotel is located just outside the main hub. You need to get directions from the bus stand and ask for this hotel or Sterling resorts Elk Hill or Ramakrishna Math (located behind this hotel). After that there are sign boards at regular intervals at each junctions. The roads are narrow and not in the best shape so an accustomed driver is needed. If your luck is bad you can get stuck when 2 big vehicles are crossing in that road (which is true for many internal roads in these hilly areas).
Check in : It was quick and simple.
Stay : This was the best part. The hotel premises are very clean and well maintained. The hotel itself is quite beautiful with the cafeteria providing a nice view of the hill in front while keeping you warm from the cold winds. The rooms and the toilet were clean, spacious (we got into diamond rooms).
There is also separate shared accommodation available for your driver (if you have hired one for your full course of journey).
Service : It was prompt (with some exceptions). Got generous help on sight seeing and planning an itinerary. The staff was ever smiling and ready to help.
Food : The breakfast was predominantly south Indian but good on taste buds. Did not try dinner because the price was on the higher side.

Conclusion : Best place to relax away from the city noise & at the same time not too far away from city hub. But you will need to have a vehicle available or depend on the hotel to arrange one every time you want to go out.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Very narrow approach road to the hotel from the city. Hotel location is a plus point. Very nice view. Could have been better with a private balcony at each room. The hotel is located on a hill. We were at the Gold room (102, 103, and 104) which is smaller (12ft x 15ft) compared to other rooms. Also this is very next to the restaurant on the ground floor so always noisy – avoid it. The rooms (201 – 309 etc) are spacious and are on the top of the hill.
The water in the bathroom was muddy and even after complaining to the staff nobody bothered to check. Room service is very poor. The roof was leaking in our room due to the stagnant water on the terrace.
We had buffet breakfast on the first day and suddenly on the second day we ere asked to take breakfast coupons from the reception.
Breakfast is average – idly, vada, pongal/upma, bread & jam, coffee & tea. Omelets were provided to only those who request. Coffe & tea was not hot at all and people were complaining. Not so friendly staff.

Room Tip: Not the rooms next to reception/restautant

We stayed at this hotel over a long weekend. The hotel is away from the busy city and so you really feel like being in hill station at this hotel. It is a new one and so the rooms are very well maintained, pretty spacious and well designed. It has a beautiful small tea garden at one side ( Ruby rooms face the tea garden). The restraunt of the hotel is also pretty well kept and view from there is quite striking. Thou the service at the restraunt is a bit slow and prices on the hefty side.

Location vice finding the hotel is a bit of problem but the hotel staff is very good and they send their representative near to a popular spot from where he would guide you to the hotel. Thou you would surely need your own vehicle if you plan to stay at this hotel.

Overall its an amazing place and a perfect mix of comfort and cost.
