“U can never let this place go out of ur mind :-)”
Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

The place is rightly named. I could easily rank this as the top most experience resorts I have ever visited.

We took the night AIRAVAT VOLVO to Ooty. The entire journey itself was an experience. Except for VOLVO and ambari of KSRTC, no other vehicles are let in after bandipur.

After we crossed bandipur checkpost, I was feeling like a VIP access. Most of them had fallen asleep, I went and sat next to the driver. He showed me wild bison, samba, fox, on the way. He told me how to identify animals in dark night. Then we entered madumalai forests. I was just keeping my eyes open to see elephants. And to my luck we saw about 6 elephants grazing just next to the road. The driver slowed down as he did not want disturb them. He stayed there for a while until they moved on. This journey was like a night safari. Awesome experience.

We reached Ooty, the same messy crowded, garbage littered everywhere. We hopped onto the taxi sent by the resort and we moved on. We had to go about 25kms further, which is thru villages and local areas, which were quite nice to see as we were passing thru the valleys.

We reached a place where we had to shift to a 4 wheel truck as regular cars can't go further. As we went on the bumpy ride, we came to this eyes dropping place, the first thing that came to mind was "how the he'll did they get this place done in such remote place".

It was a wow place, perfectly set among the hills, the impeccably clear prestige reservoir and English style farm cottages, vegetable crops, fencing, u just have to see it to believe it that such places are there in India.

We checked in to our luxury room, freshed up and started exploring, we took so many photos, my camera took amazing pics, the place was a beauty everything looked nice to me.

Me and my wife just enjoyed the place, had lunch and took rest. Evening we have a bonfire with a barbeque Setup next to it. The veg barbecue is still the benchmark for me, it was so yummy perfectly marinated and best for the climate. It was very cold.

Luckily we had wonderful heating system in the room. Nice sleep. I got up at 7 and looked out of the French window, I could barely see even 2 feet further. The entire Valley was filled with fog :-).

We went for a walk with the inhouse naturalist, there was another beautiful lake just near by. Most of the places here were shot in the movie Azab prem ki gazab kahani. Its a completely picturesque location. U can't be wrong to choose this place ever.

We spent the day with other adventure activities at the farm stay and the next day headed back Ooty for our return bus. This is a really tough feeling to take, I sometimes feel why don't we have the power like star trek, we could have disappeared from destiny directly to our home, dint want to see the buzzing of the city at all.

Pls do add this marvellous place to ur bucket list. I feel we should keep this place a secret..... Sssssshhhhh!

We had a wonderful stay at destiny. From 16 th -18 th sept,we had booked a monsoon package in standard room, however on reaching realised the rooms were small for three adults and a toddler. We informed the front office and we paid for the deluxe room, however to our surprise we were upgraded to the luxury rooms( very happy :) ).WE had a great stay and if only the weather was better we would have had an awesome time. The staff were very helpful food was nice but i would like to request the management to keep a micro oven for the rolls (during breakfast) which are not made at Destiny. It feels too cold. The carrot cake was awesome. We had an awesome time trekking in the rains through the forest, saw some sambhar deer and a langur he he :).The morning trek till sundance was refreshing.Overall we had three days to be with oneself away from all the distractions.Special thanks to Sanjay,Vishal and all the staff who made our stay memorable.

Room Tip: for couples standard room is also good but with a kid luxury room would be suitable. It has space for...

We had stayed at destiny farm stay during August 2013 (11 - 14).
.
Though it was monsoon season, luckily, it stopped raining during the first 2 days of our stay and we were able to enjoy all activities.
(Otherwise it would've been really difficult to participate in the outdoor activities)
Our 6 year old daughter was thoroughly enjoying every activity (fishing, horse riding , dairy trip etc) in "Destiny" and was fully occupied.
.
The rooms are spacious, clean and hygienic. Having a 'Fire Place' in the room itself, is a different experience. All rooms (despite the category) are bestowed with great scenic views. Food was excellent (although a bit pricey).
The spa was amazing (highly recommended).
.
As the property is remotely located from the main town , its important NOT to schedule your ooty / conoor sightseeing during your stay in 'Destiny Farmstay'.
.
In all it was a great experience to stay in 'Destiny Farmstay' .

Torrid approach road to the property. Need a suv or a high ground clearance vehicle. Elders above 55 are definitely not recommended because the last 4 kms is a back and neck breaking terrain. The food is average. Kindly do not order for room service, the food always will be cold. The staff is very friendly and efficient. There are quite a few activities to be done on this property and its quite picturesque. The rooms are decent, there is no television and hardly any mobile network. I can only recommend this property to people who want to be cut off from the fast world today and just enjoy the weather and scenery. The weekend prices of Rs 8500 or 9000 per night is definitely not worth it. Kindly note that once you are at this property its quite impossible to take a day drip to ooty or conoor.

Room Tip: Try to take the rooms near the reception area.

We visited this property in July. It was such a lovely experience and we had a wonderful time there. The best thing about the hotel is the personalized hospitality. Though it was raining continuously, we enjoyed very much and missed some activities. I just loved the place and everyone from kids to elders can enjoy there. The spa is looking awesome and you just relax and rejuvenate yourself.

This place is a struggle to reach, however when you reach there, you feel the effort was worth it.
Amazing view, lovely atmosphere you feel you are away from the real world. However if you want to reach ooty for an emergency its a task which is near to impossible esp in the night.

The food in nice, the staff is hospitable and the place is very peaceful. Its a place to visit with friends more so a big gang.

Room Tip: Carry a medical box with you, make sure u wake up at 8 to have a hot water bath coz after 10.30 no h...

Yes we do acknowledge that Destiny is a bit far away from the main town but is mainly due to this that the resort has such an amazing ambience and feel to it.We assure you that in case of any emergency , help will be provided as soon as possible. We also have a doctor on call as well as a first aid kit
We hope to have you visit some time in the near future
