There are 2 Tamilnadu hotels in Madurai and this is the one closer to the temple. I stayed in a Deluxe AC room, for a night while driving through Madurai.
Finding the hotel on GPS was a little difficult and the road on which hotel is located is a one way. This is a small property without a lot of parking space, but well enough to find a space to squeeze in the vehicle.
The room seemed to renovated some time in recent past and was good and spacious. There is an additional dressing room as well. Somehow the bathroom seemed to be missed out in the renovation and hence was not that good.
The light from corridor through the ventilator through the night was an irritation for sleep.
Did not try the restaurant, since most of trip advisor reviews did not have a good opinion.
Hotel is around less than a km to the west tower of Madurai Meenakshi temple. Once can walk down (streets are narrow , not very neat with a lot of reckless drivers) or take an auto rickshaw ( and overpay them - they ask for Rs.50, but would settle for Rs.40). Better to avoid driving down to the temple, since parking could be a hassle.
