We had a good stay at the hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. We had one issue and on brining it to the notice at the reception, it was immediately taken care of. Breakfast was also quite good. But please note that it is not in the city center - the cab charged around Rs. 200 from there to Meenakshi temple.

We had a wonderful stay in Madurai at Rio Grande Hotel. Nice interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the restaurant for the biryani and crispy lamp dishes. Very reasonably priced too for a semi-luxury hotel. Ground staff are on there toes to serve, just a ring to reception you will have it in a minute. Over all it a pleasent stay.

Room tip: Easy accessability to any place from the hotel

We made booking for rotary conference booked 16 room but despite that they denied room, and made us to share the rooms , room where full of mosquito and no towel or even soap , the hotel maintaince is worst I have not seen worst service than this

Terrible service, They don't even keep dustbin in the rooms and toilet.Provided only one towel and that too no clean. Toilet not cleaned and no hot water in toilet. Shower doesn't work. Curtains in room are small compared to window size, if you cover one side the other side will be open. On top of that service is terrible.The rating given is three star but It's a lodge. No restaurant in hotel, for breakfast they will give you coupons which you can use at some over crowded restaurant named Temple City :)

Note : They does not have swimming pool, when I booked It was mentioned on website that they have swimming pool, so......
