Had a comfortable stay @ Annapurna. We had booked a standard room which was comfortable for our family of 3(2 adults and 1 kid).
The complimentary breakfast was awesome and ample in quantity.

Only drawback we felt was Bournvita 1 cup was chargd Rs 50 which is costly...Their menu is in general at a higher cost..

They can probably speed up the check in process as we felt it was slow..

Overall a good value for money.

I cant tell much about the facilities and all as I stayed there for one night only, on may way to Ooty. What I was looking for a nice budget hotel, and then I found Sree Annapurna lodging. It was actually the first hotel I saw after entering Coimbatore but I would like to go there again. Staff was prompt. View from the room was good. It was well under my budget. Didnt get chance to try food, so cant comment on that.
But in all, if you are not looking for anything fancy, this is a place to go.

Also, there was not proper cell network for Vodafone. Airtel was fine.

Room Tip: Higher the floor better the view.

Probably one of the oldest hotels in Coimbatore. It has not upgraded perfectly with time, but if you are willing to sacrifice some creature comforts and overlook some other points, there's a hidden gem here.

1. Pros :
* Located in the heart of the city, right next to (probably) the 2nd important shopping & business areas.
* Large, comortable, clean rooms with LOTS of space. (3 people can be very comfortable with a double room and extra bed.)
* Still retain some old-fashioned cabinets, drawers, etc.
* Legendary & Excellent food.
* Staff are courteous, and get closer to you day-by-day. Room boys are veterans and helpful, but never grouchy.
* Some of the best views of the city (from the higher floors).
* Very good value for money.

2. Cons :
* Conservative Management : Change has come slowly. Complimentary Buffet Breakfast, Wifi, Health Faucets, etc. have only come recently. (Wifi is paid! And will be spotty in some rooms - please check before buying.) And they still use KEYS, no Key Cards yet.
* Tiny Lobby not much to speak of honestly and faces the Bar Door. (Bar itself is dark and probably meant for getting drunk only, better avoided, but ladies needn't worry, patrons & Hotel staff together maintain good decorum and security.)
* Car Parking area in front of the hotel will accomodate only 6 cars. Larger Car Park is about 30 mts away.
* Hotel isn't very net savvy. Email reservations may be better verified over phone.

Overall, don't expect heaven, but for a comfortable stay with some old-fashioned charm, this is a good hotel to stay in Coimbatore.

Room Tip: Higher rooms get a good view. Some cellphones don't work on the Western side rooms (lower floors). Corner suites are luxurious (for Coimbatore prices).

Go Coimbatore, you have many choices. Well that is the cause of confusion. Time tested Hotel and restaurant with genuine courtesy. They have reasonable car park area, flexibility and understanding. As a frequent traveler, I regularly take food away from home. quality of food determines health for us. Annapoorna stands ahead of many contemporaries in standard of food.
