I visited coimbatore for a conference and stayed at Jenney's club. This is one of the most compact and good club in coimbatore region. I enjoyed my stay here. Only thing is that the rooms are compact and you might not see a window. However, had a very good stay at the club.

Room Tip: A Good value for money

Very large rooms and comfortable bathroom, although in need of some rennovation. Clean, tidy, and the bed is very comfortable.
Good food and the prices are very modest. Though more light is needed at the roof top restaurant to read the menu and see what you are eating.
Gym and swimming pool are only available to club members at a rate of 30,000 rupees per year. So don't be misleaded by their presence.
Business center is a joke. A very old slow computer and very slow internet connection that had to be fixed before use.
Wi-Fi was not available in our room.

Jenneys Residency is behind an imposing building, which houses the Jenneys Club. I do not know who Jenney is or was, but am sure that she or he does not or did not believe in the nuances of English grammar such as using an apostrophe. Sadly, the trait of ignoring nuances percolates down and mars the hotel experience which could otherwise have been several notches higher.

The room (103) was spacious (about 6 m x 6 m including the bathroom) by all standards. Apart from having a generously sized comfortable bed, it had a writing desk and chair, a sofa set, a Philips CRT television, and some cabinets with hangers. I found the tariff rather low. The rates in the restaurants were also on the lower side. The hotel is only about two kilometres from the airport, and the railway station is said to be eight kilometres away. With a 24-hours departure time, this can be very convenient. I woke up to the calls of myna, peacock and cuckoo, but was too lazy to get up and catch a glimpse of them. I was given two English newspapers – Hindu and Deccan Chronicle - on the first morning. Complimentary breakfast consisted of more than ten choices, and was pretty decent. Some of the staff was excellent.

Though the hotel confirmed booking an executive accommodation for me a week in advance, the staff checked me into an ordinary room. The staff at check in demanded some payment in advance, which I handed over immediately. However, the receipt was given with reluctance and only after two requests, the second one on the tough side. The accommodation was without kettle, refrigerator, safe, and even a shaving mirror. The tub bore ugly marks. The complimentary water bottle was not provided on the second day, but reappeared on the third day. The number of newspapers reduced from two to one on the subsequent days of the stay. The worst experience was at the two restaurants – the rooftop restaurant and the Tycoon on the lower floor. Most areas outside these restaurants were so dark that it was impossible to read the menu. The waiter thrust a bottle of packaged water at both restaurants, though I had not asked for it. The hot and sour chicken soup deserved to be rechristened black pepper broth, though the chicken noodles were okay. The roti and naan could as well be called papad! Several of the staff was obviously untrained and ill mannered.

I wonder why such a lovely property is being underutilised through impoverished supplies and ill mannered staff.

Stayed here for a conference for couple of nights. The forst thing which catches your attention as soon as you enter the room is the sheer enormousness of the rooms. should be some 20 X 25. Excellent buffet breakfast. served chicken for breakfast which is very rare in South India. Got good conference halls of different capacity. Service is quick. There were some billing problems while checking out but was taken care immediately by the front desk. Location is 10 min walk from the airport. Big lawn and convenient parking.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms on the topmost floor for a better view

Best place to stay in Coimbatore. Excellent property with outstanding service, food and rooms. The restaurant offered complimentary breakfast with atleast 10 items, which were very tasty. The checkin and checkout process too was handled very efficiently. Except for the distance from the city center, there is nothing to sideline it.

Chose this hotel on the basis of proximity to airport and my conference venue coddissia. The first thing that hits you when you arrive here is its magnitude. Space ,space and lots of space everywhere.located 2 km from airport and one km from the trade centre codissia moving from the airport to the conference venue was a breeze. The club building is abutting the avinashi road with the hotel tucked away behind which can be approached thru the side road also.Took a standard room and it was huuuge. clean bathrooms with all basic amenities and toileteries.Contrary to my fellow travellers I had no issue with the room service which we availed both days with a wait period on an average 12 to 15 minutes and the food was indeed hot.Staff are very courteous .Did not avail the complimentary breakfast hence unable to comment on it overall the food was good nothing much to complain about. It was worth the money.

Room Tip: rooms facing the garden have a view but may become noisy if ther is a party, luckily we did not have...
