“Backpacker heaven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2014

Family run restaurant... very friendly service, owners always have time for a chat and make you feel at home. The food is all cooked into the small kitchen, to order (may take some time to reach you)... but it tastes great, the portions are generous, the beers are cold, the atmosphere is great (nice place to meet people), the prices are very reasonable...I had a great time...Definitely worth a try (or even 2, 3 etc)

“Fabulous little place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

Black Pepper is a fabulous little rooftop restaurant, run by a very friendly local family...and I mean all the family! The children get involved whenever possible which just adds to the charm of this place.

The menu isn't huge but what the do offer is of a very high standard and when finished, you can chill with a movie shown on one of the walls - not just Octopussy :)

Fabulous place!!

“Wow, a true and authentic Indian dining experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

This place is an absolute travellers dream. It's a small, family owned restaurant with bags of heart and character. The food is sensational and the family could not be more friendly and courteous. This isn't a big chain restaurant, so don't expect big comfy chairs or your food to be served within a couple of minutes of you ordering, but you do get one amazing meal accompanied with an awesome Indian dining experience. “Favorite place in Udaipur”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

I was at Blackpepper in December 2013 and it was my favorite place in Udaipur. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is delicious and reasonable, but one of the best things about this little restaurant is the atmosphere. The family who own Black pepper are so lovely and really made our experience that much better. Chai tea here is awesome too! They also helped us organise our sightseeing and other tips for things to do in Udaipur. Cant wait to go back in the near future!

“Better than most restaurants in Udaipur”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

We came to Black Pepper after reading the great reviews about the restaurant through tripadvisor and we were not let down. The place is in a by-lane by the street where most restaurants are at but needs a bit of searching. The food was by far the best and the most reasonable around for the quality and quantity we came here at almost every chance we got. The ambiance was simple and welcoming. They play a movie everyday (mostly famous for playing octopussy) and have a bunch of really adorable kids playing around whilst taking your order. A welcoming and homely place with good food, this place is a must go to while traveling to Udaipur
