IF you r visiting the lake and city palace u should definitely try to squeeze in an hour to visit the temple with your family. It is small and crowded but very colorful inside. They r doing rituals continuously every hour or so. Definitely worth our time.

A 1400 year old shiva temple built and rebuilt a few times, well maintained,108 small temples inside, historical place, on the way to Devigarh, thankfully is not very crowded on Sundays, very crowded on Mondays, is the reigning deity of Mewar, peaceful and quiet, think there is an aarti on Sundays, discovered it accidently, some parts of the temple are private - not allowed access to, loved it.

Historic family deity of the Mewar dynasty. Great setting. The Mewari kings walked here to worship the lord (this is over 30 kms away). Nice architecture. Great experience. Off the track so not as crowded.

Temple is really nice and old, monday evenings are most crowded. Just take a local bus from Udaipur(20rs) and about an hour later youll have arrived. The temple in itself is just another temple. But the food and commerce outside is really the reason for a visit. Also it has the best bhangwalla in all Udaipur.
