“Peaceful...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

The Eklingji Temple is a slight drive out of Udaipur but definitely worth the visit. My daughter, guide and myself where the only people in the temple and we felt an unbelievable calmness and tranquillity in the Temple. A must visit.

“The architecture and surroundings are very holy”

The built is perhaps the oldest, the deity being worshiped since 750 AD. First time I saw lord Shiva with four heads in the temple.

“Once a deity for royals, now for one and all!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

1.Slightly away from Udaipur so you can club the trip with Haldighati or Nathdwara.
2.Be prepared to walk as parking is slightly distant from the temple.
3.Still worshiped and you are overcome by holy feeling once you enter it.
4.Ekling Mahadev, main deity of Mewar dynasty, surely showers His blessings on one and all.

“Divine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2013 via mobile

The Shiv temple complex houses 108 small temples also, one for each of the 108 lives of devi Parvati...which is highly regarded by the local royals, and as they take care of the maintenance ...the complex is very clean and well maintained.
Must visit...whuch can be clubbed alongwith visit to Nathdwara and Haldighati.
