Beautiful garden and lovely palace architecture. Family owned and friendly atmosphere. Stayed 2 weeks at Rangniwas, in Deluxe room. Management offered discount due to my extended stay. Most relaxing. Truly enjoyed the porch outside the room. Many hours spent enjoying the porch. Nice pool too. Staff helped make my stay most enjoyable.
Wifi needs upgrading. Television out dated too small screen 13inch.
3 minute walk to City Palace gate to take boat ride. Would definitely consider returning

Room Tip: Deluxe more comfortable, includes air condition and ceiling fan and more spacious. Standard only has ceiling fan only, and needs to be renovated.

I stayed here with a friend in February for around 4 days. It was a fantastic place to stay with cozy and comfortable rooms at affordable rates. The staff at the hotel made the experience all the more enjoyable as they were extremely courteous and helpful to us. The owner of the place also inquired frequently as to whether we're comfortable etc. which was a nice touch. The place only had a breakfast menu, but it was worth having every morning. The eggs are to die for, and the pancakes (more like crepes) are delicious as well. The location's convenient in terms of being proximate to all the touristy destinations, while not being right in the middle of the crowded streets. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city without emptying their pockets.

We stumbled across this hotel by chance while taking part in the Rickshaw Run. We had a very long day of driving and struggling with traffic coming into the city and stumbled across this gem. The only room left for 3 people was a suite which was a little out of our budget, but once we say the room we could hardly say no! It was really cute and romantic, with 2 large windows with private cushioned sitting areas. We bed was super comfortable, there was wife, and hot showers. We were in heaven! The location is walking distance to a number of restaurants as the kitchen was not open while we were there. There was a lovely swimming pool, but as we were there in winter it was too cold to use. We wished we could've stayed another night, but alas we had a race to complete and needed to get on the road early the next morning.

Room Tip: Even though its pricey splurge for a suite. You won't regret it!!

We stayed 4 nights at Rangniwas Palace in the middle of February.
We took the cheapest rooms at the ground floor. They are small but clean even if the bathroom needs improvements..We enjoyed very much our terrace facing the beautiful garden ( it was too cold in February to use the swimming pool). The sheets were very clean but we applied for a 2nd sheet because as often in India there was no quilt covers ( when they are ,they are not washed systematically!)
The service was perfect: all the staff was very smiling and welcoming. The service was styled at breakfast time ( no lunch/dinner for us, the kitchen was on renovation) and prices normal.
A big thank you for the persons in charge of the reception : welcoming, helpfull, dedicated to satisfy our wishes. We were helped to book the following hotel of our trip in India, helped in our visits of Udaipur or any query.
A little remark : 6 taps in the shower is too much !and made us crazy...without the help of the staff we would be still trying to get hot water !Ground floor bathrooms need improvements and modernization even if we know that price is good for value

Room Tip: It depends of your budget ! if you are on a tight budget ,chose the ground floor ones, if you can spend more take a luxury double or the very beautiful suites...In each category it is a good bargain.
