Chetak Smarak is on top of Moti Magri Hill with great views of Udaipur all around and the lakes particularly Fatehsagar. The place gives a great feel of history with the heroics of Maharana Pratap and his trusted horse Chetak. The entry tickets are over- priced but still its worth a visit. We visited around noon but it wasn't very uncomfortable but the bright sun was good for photography. There are a lot of places to be covered including the gardens with many flowers, viewpoints of the lakes and the city. Also worth mentioning is the status of Hakim Khan Sur who fought alongwith Rana Pratap against the Mughals in the battle of Haldighati. And there is a fortress and a temple as well. Overall a lovely experience.

The place is very near to Fateh Sagar Lake. It is inside a Gated Community, you get charged for vehicle too if you want to visit this place. Very high, on the top of the mountain, you can look the 360 view of Udaipur from this place.
If you have a shortage of time and can't go to Haldighati, this Chetak Smarak will serve the purpose.

Chetak Smarak is situated atop the hill Moti Magari. This is the hill where Maharana Pratap took shelter after the battle of Haldighati with Emperor Akbar. The hill is next to a beautiful lake called Fateh Sagar. Apart from the Smarak there a small museum where the photographs and paintings of the battle of Haldighati and some great warriors is on display. From top of the hill one can see the city of Udaipur including the City Palace, Lake Pichola, Lake Swaroop Sagar, Sajjangarh Palace etc. A place worth visiting while you are in Udaipur.

No point specially going to see this statue. It is not huge or magnificent like some of the other statues you might have seen. You can see it if its on your way to the hotel, otherwise people just try to put it on day tour itinerary as just another point - I would absolutely not recommend it.

Chetak is remembered for his service to the Maharana Pratap in the Battle of Haldighati. Hi ran with three legs for 5 km after injury and crossed 22ft. wide river to save his master. Salute to the Chetak!!!

This is located near lake fateh sagar. It is 5 minutes visit to pay homage to the great Maharana Pratap and his fearless horse Chetak. It is built in their memory. You can also enjoy scenic view at lake fatehsagar.
