Jitu is by far the nicest hostel owner you can think of. the pleasure guest house offers the best price/service condition i ever experienced. Give it a try, you will not regret it! Also the cooking lessons he offers are worth a visit. His family is lovely and nice. Dont forget to enjoy a beer on the beautiful rooftop during the sunset!

Who likes friendly and family atmosphere, the Spicy garden is the best decision. The accommodation is clean, and peaceful, with beautiful view from the roof of the house directly in the centre of Udaipur. Everyone who has this opportunity must say, that Gitu is one of the most open and kind person in India and we had lot of fun and nice time with him. He will show you how to cook Indian specialities and if you are interested, you will know more about the real life and interesting culture in India..It was first time in India after 6 days, when we did not feel as a tourist-we felt like visiting our family..

This guest house is run by a small Indian family, and G2 is the host, who will help you out and care for you while you're there.

I found this paradise guest house, after a really bad experience at another guest house (Nukkad guest house).

G2 was walking around with a Megadeath t-shirt when he approached us on the street and asked us if we needed a place to stay.

We followed him to this small (3 bedrooms) house, with a nice patio on the back, full of flowers and plants and where life passes by with relative tranquility.

The rooms are VERY spacious, with a great balcony, where we could see the cows sunbathing.

The rooms were clean, peasant and very quiet, as the house is located at a little dead end square, no cars, no noise.

G2 is the nices person we met while in India, he was so honnest, so simple and always doing all he could to turn our stay into the most memorable experience, and he succeded!

Because the place is so small in numers, it's easy to make friends, so you'll end up teaming up with your neighbours and creat the best atmosphere.

G2 organizes really interesting tours, visiting local tribes and he'll cook for you for the lowest rates in the whole city.

We planed to stay for 3 days in Udaipur, but ended up staying 7 because of G2 and his guest house!

This place is just great, a real family run place. G2 is such a great host, he is always around to have a chat to, and has the most excellent stories to tell! The rooms are lovely and light, very clean and spacious. They are also cheap. We paid 300INR for a huge room, with a balcony. G2 will also cook for you, whilst talking you through all his techniques. You can have lessons too.

The location is perfect, hardly any noise at night as the guesthouse is not exposed to any roads. You only need to walk for a minute and you are outside the Jagdish Temple.

This guesthouse has so much charm, and is not in any guidebooks. You really feel like G2's friends when you are there, he genuinely wants to learn about you and your culture. It really is a hidden gem!

When we stayed in Udaipur last week we were in the friends recommended Guesthouse:

"Pleasure Guesthouse and Spice Garden Restaurant".

The owner Jitu is the best host I have ever had. We spend evenings with cooking lessons and talking in his Garden.

The rooms are clean, quiet and cost only from 200 to 350INR.

The Place is a little hidden but only 2min walk from Jagdish Temple in the center of old town. Just ask a Rikshar Driver there for Spice Garden or call Jitu (his phone no. 00919828626621), he speaks very good english and always cares for his guests.

Just go there and enjoy the atmosphere in his garden with the running around chicken.
