Spent two nights at this superb hotel, as part of our tour of India. We upgraded to a room with the semi-private pool with lake view - worth every penny. Woke up this morning to a glorious sunrise, over looking the lake. Every member of the team went the extra mile and not driven by tips. The hotel has an enlightening policy not to accept tips on an individual basis so you don't feel that the wonderful service is driven by 'tips' ... Everyone is truly happy ... There is nothing, repeat nothing to fault in this hotel ... Many thanks for a wonderful toe days, wish we were staying longer.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the semi private pool rooms

It is not just the magnificence, grandeur and excellence in architecture that makes The Oberoi Udaivilas stand apart, more so for us it has been the warmth and endearing hospitality of the ever smiling and polite staff that would make us want to visit this serene and splendid resort again. Our experience has been so exquisite and marvelous that words may not be enough to appreciate the unparalleled service standards of their well trained staff.

The fragrance of myriad flowers, a walk through the well-manicured plush green lawns, rendezvous with the peacocks & twittering birds and delectable cuisine is nothing short of sheer bliss. It is a heavenly experience with all its quietude and the lake waters both by morning and night. Perhaps this was the first time ever that we were not wanting to check out!!

We congratulate the entire staff and management of Oberoi Group of Hotels and Resorts.

Room Tip: Premier rooms with Pool view.

It was my wife's 30th birthday and what better than the true luxury icon, the synonym of heritage & the crowing jewel of the hotel industry. Right from the sedan pick up from the Maharana Pratap Airport to the welcome in a jetty - it emerges out of the lake pichola. With an in room personal check in, the hospitality lays down as a red carpet. Kind size room with a bigger king size bathroom with use of marble carvings all around takes you in the era of the royals.True comfort and an property which can consume all of your holiday and a day or two looks so less. Simply made the birthday more special!

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us.

Your turn of phrases about the design and architecture of Udaivilas are indeed reminiscent of a Rajasthan Palace . Our building is build on the hunting lounge of king Maharana on the bank of lake Pichola and it is the reflection of mewar and mugal dynasty.

I am glad to know that you have enjoyed the services and had cherish memories. We look forward to welcoming you back at The Oberoi Udaivilās sometime soon.

Best regards

India is an amazing place to visit. This place, Udaipur is like the Venice of the East. The city surrounds a lake and in one side of the lake, the very viewable domes of the hotel are seen. The service is very high, there's some jetty to transport guests. Every employee from the hotel will enrich your experience there.

Room Tip: Verify what you want to visit, may be is not walkable and you need to hire the hotel taxi.

This was towards the end of our Honeymoon in Rajasthan. The hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Set next to a beautiful lake. The resort has amazing gardens and there is a nature reserve where animals are fed each evening. We chose the poolside room, it is absolutely amazing, with a private sunbathing area. Once in the pool you feel almost like part of the nearby lake. We eat dinner outside and enjoyed the entertainment. The chef came over to talk about the Indian food and provided us with a bag of ingredients to take home. Breakfast was probably one of the best I have ever eaten, from steak and eggs to Aloo Paratha. The hotel was very quiet and exclusive, the staff are amazing, there are loads of them, and they are very charming. The spa is out of this world, and a private sunset boat trip magical. Finally - the cocktails are absolutely incredible. We were running out of time to catch a flight to Mumbai so they packed us a goodie bag for the taxi and put our cocktails into take away cups. This place is not cheap, but you can live like a royal - you deserve it!

Room Tip: Go for a lakeside room with a private pool.
