“Njoi the Raas-Leela”

Raas Leela has excellent location... kissing the Pichola lake... The ambience, food, service and hospitality is excellent... Thanks to their team for providing us the room with a view of the lake from inside also since we had small kids with us and the delicious Jain Food... The candle light dinner overlooking the lake is to be experienced and not missed when in Udaipur...

Despite the narrow approach road and only auto rickshaw as the mode of commuting, once we got to the place it was a perfect place to relax...

The property is on the lake, infact we got the best room which was overlooking the lake. The service was very good & staff very courteous. The Tent type accommodation is so different that you wont find generally... The place is adjoining Leela & overlooks the Taj Lake side.
The best part is the rooms are at the lake level & a very Romantic ambience.
Specially during evening & early mornings its a beautiful view of the Taj & The Jag Mandir which is in midst of the lake :-)
Would really love to go again here...

The food is very good & everyday is a romantic candle light dinner in the lawn too...

Hi !!! I travelled with my family to Udaipur on 6th August & stayed at Raas Leela for 2 Nights.Let me start from the beginning .
1.) HOTEL :-The entrance to the Hotel is not good. You have to pass through dirty narrow lanes to reach the Hotel which could be little disappointing for many of us but once you reach the hotel you end up forgetting everything.Though the property is small but it is nice, clean & being just on the bank of Lake Pichola makes it even more spectacular. At night the property looks fab with lights illuminating everywhere. The small temple at the center of the hotel is very beautiful. They have a auto which drops you till outside or till Parking area.
2.) ROOM-: The cottages are nicely decorated with all amenities .The washroom is big & very nice and very clean as well. The bed is very comfortable and the light towards the bed head makes the room beautiful at night. There is a sitting area outside every cottage & you can totally njoy it if the weather is on your part (as in our case).
3.) SERVICE:- The hospitality is the best part about the Hotel. The staff is very gracious, attentive & well-mannered. I really want to mention the name of Mr.Shakti who was really humble, polite & informative. He gave us good suggestions about how to plan our days & even arranged a cab from the hotel for a tour.He even asked for a feedback of the cab tour.It is advisable to book a cab through them as the rate is more or less same.
4.) FOOD:- The most striking thing about the hotel is their scrumptous food. They have variety & breakfast was too good esp the poha. One must try their poha. The open air restaurant is another good part about the hotel & eating dinner under moon-lit night with stars and candle light and beside the lake just makes it very romantic.Everything is cooked fresh & was very delicious.

Some Suggestions:- a.) The property needs to be maintained little bit .They can add some live performances to make the ambience little more lively instead of just music systems.
b.) They should get the lake cleaned on their side of the property as it was stinking little bit.
c.) add more options in Breakfast so that guests have more choices on different days.
d.) make the autodriver to drop outside the narrow lanes as it is difficult to walk in those lanes.
e.) The property is slightly over-priced in comparison to the quality.

Overall the stay was good & comfortable.

Its a bful bful place, tucked near The Leela Palace & spanning btowards the lake. It shares a common entrace with Leelas. The cottages are beautiful, amzing decor simple but interesting. The open dining by the lake adds to the charm. The food is good too. Definately a must try.

It was really a wonderful time at Raas Leela. While reaching to Raas Leela, I thought I could have booked some other hotel, but once i reached to the venue, I feel re-energized. Each and everything is perfectly placed. All the staff members are very kind and supportive, always ready for support. They also guide us well for which place to see and which to not. Rooms, Cottages, are very neat and clean with almost all amenities in the room except phone. Hotels surrounded with Lake Pichola, Hotel Leela, famous Citi Palace, Hotel Taj Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. Also surrounded by Aravalli mountain range, atmosphere specially in monsoon was awesome. I surely recommence people who travel to Udaipur must experience the stay at Raas Leela!

Top notch hotel for the price I paid! I was a single lady traveler and the staff went out of their way to make me feel safe and comfortable. They also helped plan and execute my sightseeing. Special thanks to Shakti Singh ji and the gentleman who came on duty post 2pm as well as the person at the reception who also checked me in (apologies for not remembering your name). Though the rest of the staff was equally fantastic! Service is the best aspect of Raas Leela, leaving even the view behind!

Speaking of the view, it’s phenomenal! Specially from Room 101. Hence, the approach to the hotel is a small price to pay. I for one felt that the narrow lanes (only a single auto can pass through at a time) added to the quaint charm of the place and I quite enjoyed walking through these lanes, looking at houses with Rajasthani art on their walls and traditional doors eventually leading up to the markets and cafes.

Food was great tasting but slightly expensive when compared to the eateries in the market area. The only slightly troublesome factor was that they don’t allow room service, that is, one is not allowed to eat inside the room as it can stink up the tent. However, there is a lovely private sit out with each room and your food can be served there. It is beautiful after dark with all the palaces in Lake Pichola lit and I didn’t mind having my dinner there.

All in all, an excellent place to stay helping you with all your needs- travel, transport, food, recreation etc.

I would only recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this hotel!

Room Tip: Request for room no. 101, it has the best view and is the only room directly facing Lake Pichola. I...
