“Feb 2013 trip”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

We made a family trip to Udaipur earlier this month & booked 2 rooms at Raas Leela. I must say that right from the room size & decor to the view & the food, all aspects were well taken care of and left us very satisfied, overall.

The boutique resort is extremely well located, just next to the lake and views from the open restaurant & even from a couple of rooms is breathtakingly beautiful.

The staff is very courteous and made an honest effort to keep our stay comfortable. Just a few things where some improvement can be made,

1. Room service should be allowed so that dinner etc can be ordered inside the rooms as the weather is not always gr8 for outside seating

2. The cable goes off frequently due to power failure. Think that can be made better by using a DTH

Would give full marks to the resort for making our trip memorable.

We stayed here for three nights in February 2013. The rooms are large and comfortable and the view is probably the best in Udaipur. The bathrooms could be a little nicer. I had a few cold showers because they didn't tell us when we checked in that we had to ask for them to turn the hot water on (I guess they turn it off to save money). The only other negative was that it can be a little noisy at night if there are people on the lawns. Otherwise a decent place to say with a fantastic view.

Room Tip: Try to get the room closest to the lake.

At first this place seemed very much in the interior, but that is what was great about this place. Silently next to the Pichola Lake, great view and awesome facilities. Tent was good, clean. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Food is also good.
All in all, a really great place to stay with frnds, family or couple.

Raas Leela is situated right beside The Leela. The view alone is worth every penny you have spent for this hotel. The good is great too. Nice rooms and a helpful staff. The first walk to the hotel might seem a bit dodgy but once you get there it is totally worth it.
Overall a bang for your buck.

Cant think of any other hotel if I visit Udaipur again. the best part of the tents are the bathroom. The one we had had the view of the lake and sun coming into the bathroom while having the bath. Food is just about ok. But who is really looking for that!!

if you are looking for a value for money chillaxing vacation with family, friends or spouses, raas leela camps are the place to be. The best part is the view that you get from there. cottages have been beautifully designed taking care of the comfort n luxury. they have only 8 cottages n hence you will experience a great hospitality with the staff taking care of every minutest detail. Raas leela is a great escape away. Happy Holidays pur

We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 children on 1st Jan and stayed for 5 nights. The property( though small and boutiquish) had a terrific view, so did our Room No 4.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy with a convenient verandah to enjoy the view/ cool weather. The verandah had a nice table to have dinner in a relaxed manner.

The food was excellent and the laas maas was great. My 8 year old insisted to have laas maas for every meal at the hotel. Shakti Singh was friendly and helpful. Also mithun was very warm and we got along well.

Breakfast was simple but wholesome and served well. All in all must say its a hotel with a view to die for.
