chunda palace is a family owned hotel. it was originally a family residence and then got converted into the hotel. the entire hotel is very intricately painted and designed in rajasthani traditional artwork, carvings, glasswork. it took 16 years just to make this.

the rooms are very beautiful, the walls and ceilings are very beautifully painted. all rooms have a jacuzzi bathtub with an excellent rainshower, and the quilts on the bed are so soft, it feels like you are sleeping in a cream puff.

the staff is very hospitable and courteous, they take a long time to prepare food in the restaurant though. the rooftop terrace has a restaurant, bar and swimming pool, and a fabulous 360 degree view of the lake pichola, hill ranges and udaipur.

they also do destination weddings. it would be a great place to get married, very romantic setting. definitely had a great stay here.

we spent 1 night only on the way to Kumbalgarh Fort and we had the most romantic evening and dinner at this royal retreat whose rooftop terrace overlooks the spectacular Lake Pichola and the main monuments of Udaipur ,,We were given a fully frescoed huge room - 90 sqmts - with a great marble bathroom . We had excellent food served on the /errace. al fresco with a great old style heating system - In Feb is pretty cool at night - made of a big brass pot fully covered with burning charcoals spreading warm all over ! The hotel owners- of a royal dinasty - live the 3rd flood of the hotel and its easy and pretty much pleasant to meet them and have a vibrant and nice conversation on their history and their culture ,, We ll be back for sure ,and hopefully for a longer period ,

The hotel has beautifull rooms and an amazing view. You can enjoy the roof top pool and the view at the same time! And if the sun isn t there you can still go to the indoor swiming pool.
The staff did a great effort for new year's eve.

Stayed here for 2 nights, with spouse and baby in Dec. The hotel is beautifully located, near the other 5 star porperties. Its a palace converted into a hotel, so its very beautiful from inside too, the rooms are huge and with marble flooring. The bathrooms are clean and good too. The view from the terrace is awesome. Received very good service from the hotel staff, especially as we had a late check out, they adjusted and helped us with a room, so my kid could take rest and not be inconvenienced. The food also was goos, though we did not eat at the hotel all the time. On the whole a good experience, and would surely go back next time.
