Although it is tucked away down a few back streets, and it doesn't look like much when you pull up outside-but once you drop your bags in your room and head upstairs to the restaurant and roof Terrace areas we stumbled across what we think is a hidden gem. Beautiful ambiance especially in the restaurant. We also lost our Iphone and it was found by hotel staff and they returned it straight away. They were extremely honest and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone who required low budget accommodation with luxury views. Great experience!

We did not actually stay in this hotel despite being booked in for two nights .On arrival we were somewhat surprised to see a rather shabby hotel not gleaming white as in the pictures . Once entering we saw the diriest foyer we had seen in India during our three week trip . We had pre paid our agent and had not budgeted to pay ourselves in anothr hotel . However we felt we had no option .
The foyer walls were quite literally filthy from the botton up . I fully accept that cases can mark walls but this w pure dirt on the so called white walls . There was very small foyer , with several staff , friends sitting around, leaving no where for guests to sit . Painting the wall would have only taken a tin of paint . When I saw such a dirty foyer , I dreaded what the kitchens were like .
We were shown to our room . It did have a lake view but it w small and no blacony and no where to sit . As it was over 40 degree we wanted to go out early explore and come back in the afternoon ,but except for climbing into the window there was no seating .The room looked ok but the bathroom was very basic . I only looked in but it did not feel clean. The foyer was packed with staff and friends so we thought we would see if all would be ok for two nights and explored the terrace . THIS was the deciding factor to leave . On top of the steps to the terrace sat what I would describe as a gang of young men who leered and laughed at myelf and my husband and would not let us pass . From my brief glimpse of the terrace it did not loook like the photos in the advertisement for the hotel . Dirty walls a general sense of a lack of cleanliness and letherous young men made us decide to leave and book into another hotel . As another writer wrote this may be the wrong hotel for Europeans as there appeared to be a lot of young Indians staying . Certainly much better cleaner hotels in the area.

Room Tip: Do not book

i really don't understand that people are taking advantage of tripadvisor just for there own self things and out of control things like this lady which hasn't checked in the hotel but wrote every unneccessary things which wasn't happened with her but first i like to say that it was the mistake of travel agent as for there own profit they were not showing the proper things and sell the rooms as we have already told to them that our hotel is under renovation and they said to us for the managed and we try our best but unfortunately these people comes before it's finished and they show some spots on the wall as we have to remove after 2 days according to the instruction .
second things this was lady good smoker and looking for a place in the room of smoke and our rooms are non smoking so we said not to smoke in the and that she really don't like but this is our rule sooooo and for the smoke either she has to go up or down in the garden which she wasn't like and for the smoke when she went to our second restaurant where we allowed smoke there were some young group of boys and girls and there were not laughing on her at all as they were busy there own self but she took her own self and decided to go back and i checked myself with them and decided not to stop those guest in our hotel otherwise in 2 days if they will stay and take out all unnecessary things which she won't like and as she wrote about the bathroom is wrong because she hasn't checked in and her husband who always following to her was sitting comfortably in the lobby and she was saying that there was no space to sit we don't that how big space that she was looking for ?
i request to the team of tripadvisor that please judge properly the review and remove of it as she hasn't checked in and wrote all this things which is not correct .

we stayed in this hotel in month of february this year. it is a small decent hotel. The lake view isn't that great but you cannot expect a fantastic one from a budget hotel. Rooms are designed tastefully. Roof top restaurant is highlight of hotel which offers amazing ambiance in evening. Hotel staff is very helpful. For my 1 year old daughter, we made frequent trips to kitchen to boil water or sterlize bottles. They always helped us with it even during dinner time when guests were waiting for dinner.
Only thing to avoid is booking taxi through them for sightseeing as they charge more than market rate.
Hope to visit them again.

This hotel is a good value option for those not wanting to blow all their rupees in Udaipur.

We had a room on the first floor, which was a bummer because it lacked much of a view, but we could still see the lake and the room was clean and nice.

We spent quite a bit of time on the hotel's rooftop enjoying Kingfisher beers and complimentary drinking snacks (the green chutney was delicious). Here's the secret: the view is great, but you can only look out, not down. Directly below the hotel (and in your line of sight) is an unfinished building remodel, debris, garbage and the main laundry station for every person and hotel nearby (photo included). If you can look past that and just understand that's India, the hotel is great.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The on-property restaurant is comfortable and has a lovely vibe, view and delicious food.

We enjoyed our stay, but would probably look for something more romantic next time.

A pleasant hotel with a superb view. The owner Mr Katta was very helpful and arranged trips and offered local advice. Our room was comfortable and clean. We found the food spicy but this was toned down when we asked. The top floor restaurant was noisy but the restaurant below was much more relaxed and shared the same good views over the lake and the old city. There was a cemetery nearby but it was a very peaceful place and did not trouble us at all. If you are a birdwatcher take your binoculars and camera and spend all day looking out over the lake, you will even see fruit bats.
On the downside some of the staff had poor English and cars booked for tours arrived late a couple of times. Power was erratic (it is India!) and the WiFi variable. Towels and bed linen were not very white but they were clean and changed daily.

Room Tip: Ask for 107, ac and a great view

I think the title sums it all. Just to complete the information, the staff was very friendly, but we had some problems with the noise the first night we stayed there - there was a party and the music didn't stop until 2 am.

The restaurant is also good and with a great view over the Lake Pichola.

A good choice if you are looking for a calm and peaceful hotel.

The views are the best thing about this place, and the room I stayed in was very quaint with nice appointments. It's just a short walk from the city center...the person who said "disappointing stay" must be very lazy indeed. Less than a ten minute walk. Room was extra clean and the staff very friendly. Restaurant was good...no bugs, no smell. "Disappointing stay" would probably find fault at the Hilton. Nice place for a short stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. No pool or fitness center as indicated by trip advisor.
