We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, we had a terrible experience.
We had to ask to change the bed sheets because the sheets were really REALLY dirty, the bed was already used and full of hairs.
They were doing construction works very late in the evening and starting around 6/7 in the morning..
We asked to change the room, they proposed us another one, similar but on the same floor, cold, without sun light, they said it would have cost more and leave it to us for the same price.
We decided to keep ours, because at the end it was better.we fought to get a discount, wich at the end we had.
The hot water was very limited, sometimes not at all.
Another thing like everybody say, pictures are FAKE !!!
For cheaper you can find much better!

Raj palace is budget hotel, on the way to city palace and jagdish mandir. It looks small hotel from outside but it is big hotel with small garden inside with cafe and restaurant. Staff is helpful Mr Govind and Mr Babu is helpful.

If you book it online please don't trust in online displayed photographs. food is also waste of money.

It is sad, to say the least, that such a beautiful venue has the kind of problems that make your stay a nightmare. So instead of enjoying yourself you are always struggling to have internet access or to connect your charger to the only electric plug-in available for your electronic devices in your beautiful room. Something as simple as charging you camera battery will be a difficult task. The staff is always ready to listen to you in a very polite way but their help is not only slow but their solutions do not last. You are always trying to fix some issue with them. The nights are full of noises that will certainly not help you get the rest you are looking for. And to finish your experience at this mirage, the kitchen performance is below average for a hotel of this price. Although the room was really beautiful the overall experience is terrible.

Terrible hotel. It was cold (early February) and there was no hot water for shower. The toilet floor was flooded, blankets stink, AC no heating, bed has a creaking sound when you sit on it, no toilet paper (we paid for 3 nights but left after one night without shower because it was too cold to take one!). There was also no wifi as stated on the website (through makemytrip website). We stayed at the Deluxe room but was so disappointed to see the room was so old and ill-maintained, totally not what is shown on the pictures.

I wish there was a rating lower than 'terrible' for this hotel.

It doesn't have internet even though it claims so. If you complain about no internet in th room, they would claim that there is WiFi at restaurant, if you ask WiFi doesn't work there either, they would say "some work is going on".

What they call "AC" is just something which blows cold air...so avoid this in winters.
The TV didn't work, unless seeing grainy-images with unclear sound is your cup of cake.

There was no hot water - did I mention we booked this hotel in January ?

We checked-out after the first night. Avoid this hotel.

Having said that, the food wasn't so bad & the location is good too.

Room Tip: I would recommend not to take this hotel ..

The photos make you believe that the rooms are big but they are in reality very small and congested. The area and approach is highly congested and DO NOT even think about this hotel if you are driving. They do have a LIMITED parking but thats what it is - limited. I will never go here again.

Two good things about this hotel. One is location. It's very near Jagdish Temple and City Palace (both at walkable distances). Another is the first look (yes, only the first look) of the rooms. Food is good. And that's ALL about the good things.

The so-called suite room was given to us at 3rd floor with no lift. They gracefully agreed to serve food at the room as my aged mother can't climb down. The nightmare started soon after when she tried sleeping on the bed. It started itching and bites. They came and changed the bed cover. AC had only 2 options. Fan and cool. No heating.

The next day morning there was no hot water. We had to leave early so my mom bathed in cold water. When my turn came water stopped because every room in the first floor were 'using' water. After 2 hrs we got water. Then we were given a different room in first floor.

This room had no intercom, no AC. Remembering we booked AC deluxe room, I asked but he said there was no other room available. Again no hot water the next day. The hot tap was giving water which is not even like warm by any standards ( which they call 'hot') again because everybody else is 'using' at the same time. No hand towels provided either.

The rooms are not sound proof. Somebody were partying on second floor terrace till 1 am and all those noises flowed into the room disturbing our sleep. Also we get to hear the TV played in the next room or the noises from the corridor.

I never stayed in such a horrible place after giving so much money (this was booked by GoIbibo) as part of the package. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.
