“good for folk dance...”

There you can enjoy the puppet show and folk dance in night. Fee is nominal and you will have a great time. There is a museum which remains open during day time.

“What you should consider”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

This is a nice place to get a good glimpse into the culture of the western region of India, namely Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa.

COST: The ticket costs about Rs 60 per person. If you want to click pictures inside, it would cost you an additional Rs 100, which is not really justified.

DURATION: about one hour (generally 7pm to 8pm)

PERFORMANCES: local dances from Western India. About 5 performances in all. Not the most coordinated or professionally conducted but a definite treat for your eyes and ears. Watch out for the lady with the 10 pots on her head. She is definitely the best.

AUDIENCE: about 100 strong on any given day

PHOTOGRAPHY: feel free to use video and flash photography at an additional charge as mentioned above.

CAUTION: most announcements are made in Hindi and English. If you are not used to the Indian accent of English speaking, you will probably not understand much about the background information of each performance.

HOW GOOD IS IT? well at 60 bucks, its definitely worth your while. An evening well spent. Not the most professional show out there, but this is a small troupe who make a genuine effort and it shows.

WHAT SHOULD YOU CARRY: DigiCam, Video Cam, Mosquito Repellent

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU BUY? hand puppets are on sale after the show

“Fabulous rajasthani cultural show”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

The Rajasthani cultural shows are held every evening in Bagore ki Haveli. This 45 minute long cultural show is an absolute gem and shows folk dance and puppet shows. By far the best thing I have seen or heard in Udaipur.

“Enjoyable evening.”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

I enjoyed the whole cultural show.I am inspired to introduce such a vibrant cultural show in Bangalore where I stay. I was amazed to see the artist balancing 9 pots on her head and dancing. It shows the power of concentration and involement. I liked the sitting arrangement and very receptive audience. Backdrop was perfect for the show, and the puppets came alive on stage with perfect backgrond music. I wish I had time to interact with the artist and buy some puppets too.All the artists deserve encouragemet and a very big applaude.
