This review could easily turn into a rant, so i'm just going to present the facts. Please don't stay here.
1) We arrived from a late train, and reached the hotel at 11pm. Due to a storm, the hotel was running on a generator which, as is common in India, meant that the a/c wasn't operating. We were assured that the power cut wouldn't last long and that the a/c would kick in as soon as mains power was restored. What we didn't know is that the staff had not turned the unit on at the external breaker, and we therefore had no cool air (and no sleep) all night.
2) When checking out, I discussed this matter with the manager behind the reception desk who was less than keen to offer any type of discount. When I calmly expressed my displeasure I was threatened in no uncertain terms that one way or another, the hotel would get its full payment.
3) Everyone who ate in the restaurant while we were there was ill soon afterwards.
Please, please, please do not stay at this hotel. It's not worth the money or the risk.More
