This Tiger reserve though one of the oldest, has lot a lot of sheen. Tiger's are rare site, as you have only 72 Tigers left in 1000Kms. The Ranthambore fort is one big attraction to see and is a nice one as well. this has been maintained well. However the Tiger reserve is not maintained. You would be very lucky if you site a tiger. The number of animals also has gone down in the last 5 yrs. Though we had gone at the best time for tiger siting (April - May Season) we were unlucky. Food is gr8 in the area and the hospitality is also wonderfull

Wow amazing, this is the second time that we have visited Ranthambore and we were fortunate enough to witness the most famous tiger in all of India. Machli or T16 as she is now known was eating and bathing in front of our jeep for almost 90 minutes, and that alone made the trip all worthwhile.

the cantors are extremely uncomfortable. The roads inside the park are very bumpy. I would strongly recommend pre-booking a gypsy jeep and not a cantor.
The only facility inside the park is a pay toilet. Nothing else is available so bring everything that you might need.
The guides are knowledge but actually seeing Tigers is as much determined by luck as their skill

The Tigers were all hiding away the day we went on safari but the other wildlife we saw, crocs, monkeys and many birds were brilliant. Very enjoyable trip.
