If you can do it- book an executive suite! It was so big that it was like having an apartment! We loved the views out of the big windows, the balcony and opening the windows and sleeping with the cool, crisp air! Every single person on the staff that we encountered treated us great and provided excellent service! From Connie in reservations, Shauna and Caroline at the front desk, Lisa and Annie in The Coffee House, and Joe the manager. It was labor day weekend and they were sold out. We had questions and requests and all of these people went out of their way to help us even though they were very busy. Joe is a hands on manager and we saw him around the hotel quite often making sure that everything was running smoothly. The breakfasts in The Coffee Shop were great and we wanted to prolong our stay after smelling the manicotti with rosemary sausage that chef Annie was making for lunch! It smelled heavenly!

We had a wonderful stay and we are already planning to go back!

We booked our rooms early before a special event so we could adapt to the altitude. Upon arrival, we were shocked there was NO AC! Having allergy problems and asthma, we explained the health problems of not staying in a controlled environment. The staff hurriedly made available 2 of the 4 rooms with AC available for the same price. The second night our AC went out, but after that, the stay was great! Staff was exceptional and helpful! Our other friends that arrived later were very upset to find out their rooms did not have AC....it is just not something you ask these days. If it is over 80 degrees, most people want air conditioning. Take a flashlight to use in the closet....there are no lights! Plenty of pillows. Rooms need updating, but not bad! Lots of outdoor activities but limited food opportunities!

Room Tip: If it makes a difference during a summer stay, make sure you ask for air conditioning! There are on...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with the on-line community. Angel Fire, NM is over 8600 ft. and many homes and properties don't have air conditioning, as we are usually cool enough both day and night. However, this year was warmer and we tried to make sure and have plenty of fans on hand for our guests. We are always reviewing projects and I am going to add air conditioning to my list.

I do hope that you get another opportunity to visit us in the future.

Sincerely,

The family stayed during Labor Day weekend. It was rather warm in the room as there is no air conditioner. Room was very large and very clean. Can say anything bad about the place. I just wish they had an air conditioner or given us a room with a balcony. We also booked on Groupon and told the room was a suite with a couch and a separate tv area. We did not get that room.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While our nights are cooler than most locations, this summer our temperatures have been higher than normal during the day and haven't been cooling down until the middle of the night.

I hope that we have an opportunity to book you a room with a balcony for your next visit.

Happy and Safe Travels,
Sincerely,

After the beautiful drive from Santa Fe I arrived at The Lodge which was easy to find. I checked in and asked the front desk agent for things to do and she gave me a great description of all the activities (zipline, mountain biking, restaurants, pool). My room was well appointed and spacious with a nice work area and flat screen TV. I most enjoyed the balcony with the incredible view of the mountains with the sun setting. I can only imagine how beautiful it is when the mountains are snow capped. i wondered down to Legends for a beverage and there was a crowd of people enjoying the night, service was friendly and the selections were exactly what I needed.

In the morning I took advantage of the Coffee House, great Starbucks coffee and breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. The service was prompt and friendly.

I went to the Angel Fire Country Club and had lunch and enjoyed an incredible view of the surrounding mountains.

Overall I was thoroughly impressed with the service and accommodations. I would highly recommend visiting Angel Fire Resort and staying in the Lodge or close by Condos. I went in summer but can imagine winter is incredible as well.

Room Tip: Mountain views with balcony create extra living space.

Our room itself at this resort lodge was acceptable, if a little dark. It did have an especially nice bed, but could surely use a floor lamp by the big reading chair. Our visit, however, got off to an unpleasant start. When we showed up at 4:30 p.m., tired and ready to settle in, we learned to our chagrin that our room was not yet ready for us. A 4 p.m. check in time, we think, is actually a bit late (check out is 11 a.m.), and you'd think that five hours would be enough to get a room ready, but maybe not. We paid regular price and did not feel that, overall, we got value for our dollar.

Room Tip: Don't go in off-season

Dear Guest,

Feedback is important as it reminds us to always look for ways to improve processes. I am not sure what date you arrived so I am not able to answer specifically what happened on that day but I do know that we always strive to have rooms ready for guests at 4pm. The housekeeping team is reviewing the weekend and looking for areas of opportunity.

Thank you,

We stayed over Labor Day weekend with Friends. Found the deal on Groupon. Both parties were disappointed with the Alpine Wing Rooms. 1. When we booked the Groupon it looked like we were booking a suite and not just a regular room 2) Lack of lighting in room and bathroom made it dark; 3) Housekeeping was pretty poor; 4) Lack of a balcony made it feel very closed in. 5) Cracked sinks, mold in the shower....

The Lodge is showing it's age which isn't unusual for a ski place but we were told we were in the "updated" wing. It was fine for sleeping but not very comfortable otherwise. Our first contact with the front desk was not particularly encouraging, very perfunctory. Shaunna, on the otherhand, was GREAT! She is a fantastic customer service rep.

Went for the zip line and overall it was worth the price (had a Groupon for the room, so the zip line was the major expense for the trip). Our room was spacious with two queen beds; our son was psyched as he usually ends up on the sleeper sofa when we travel. We were on the top floor so the ceiling was vaulted; nice for the space, but when it's summer in NM with 85 F temp it got down right toasty in the room. None of us slept well the first night. One small wall mount heater that had a fan setting that I discovered on the second day helped move the air and opened the windows up in the morning when it was in the 50 F temp range helped cool it. Breakfast in the down stairs coffee shop was amazing, classic breakfast for the kid and we split the split the omelet. Zip line wore us out and we got a kick out of watching the Gravity Games as mountain bikers blazed down the mountain. Angel Fire has a great laid back vibe. Be aware that restaurants in the area are often out of stuff and the summer staff gets overwhelmed easily; so smile, stay loose and flexible.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your feedback! Sounds like a fan was missing from your room or was left in the closet. I will have our housekeeping team double check that all rooms have fans and that we review the policy of making sure that fans are in the room for guest arrival. I look forward to sharing your feedback with the Zip Line and Coffee House teams.

Happy and Safe Travels,
