“A beautiful example of authentic Rajasthani history ...”
Reviewed January 30, 2011

The architecture is fabulous, the rooms worthy of a museum exhibit - however, museums are meant for looking at rather than actually staying in! And Singhvi's Haveli could be made more inviting and comfortable for travelers if they bought new mattresses and bed linens, and provided rugs of a little thickness to cover the very hard (and cold at this time of year) stone and marble floors.
We stayed in the most interesting and decorated of the rooms, replete with 500 year-old details of design, and these were indeed beautiful and highly memorable ... but for the price I do think that the Singhvi's could invest in some new basics, and by doing such would encourage our returning here next time we visit Jodhpur, one of our favorite cities in India.
The staff are certainly accommodating, and Aarpan Singhvi is very pleasant and helpful - I would certainly recommend anyone to stay here.
As an extra - be absolutely sure to eat at the Midtown Restaurant near the station, the best we found in Jodhpur. And be sure to go on a day outing with the Bishnoi Village Safari (which Aarpan arranged for us, and very inexpensive) to some local craftsmen making water-pots and rugs, for example, in the traditional ways, with profound ecological understanding and commitment.

Located at a good location in the old town, close to the fort with excellent views from the rooftop.
We had one of the cheaper rooms, which was very loud (late night noices from staff and other visitors), the sanitary was not working properly and not as clean as in other budget stays. The staff had troubles waking up in the morning, early breakfast was difficult to arrange, but in general they were very helpfull.

I arrived in Jodhpur with one day schedule but once I found Singhvi's home I knew that I had to stay more time. The management was impeccable in trying to squeeze me in and also helped me on rebook a stay that i had in Jaipur.
The house is stunning. 400 years of history on the walls of this paradise in the heart of the old city. Easy to access by walk all important sight seeings, an impressive rooftop to see a 360 degrees of the city, and if this is not enough, a unique vegetarian restaurant with home made Rajasthan food. The management is incredible helpful and in few hours you feel in family.
The rooms are clean and spotless, and full of paintings and accessories, relics that make you feel in fairy tale. Depending on your budget, and very fair prices, you can get the room of your life.
wi-fi available.
This is definitely a place to spend your time.

We stayed 8 nights at Sighvi and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The room was nicer, bigger and more beautiful than it looked on their website. Arphan, one of the owners was extremely helpful and personable. It's a large, gorgeous aristocratic family home turned guesthouse and the big rooms are phenomenal. The price was great.

The food is well-priced, but but so-so. However, having your tea or coffee brought up to the roof, the lounge or your room is really nice - and the pots are huge.

Sighvi Haveli is in the old part of town - so it's quieter and more of the "blue city" traditional - but further from the center of action and some of the tourist sites. We didn't mind the quick auto-rickshaw ride. But some people might.

Overall, we were amazingly pleased and felt we got one of the best values we've found in India. Definitely go - and reserve one of the suites if you can afford it.

My Husband and I stayed in Singhvi haveli for 2 nights in December. Although our trip started off to a rocky start as soon as we checked in i was convinced that this was the place to be! It is a little difficult to find at night and you cannot take your car up there so we had to get in a rickshaw and get up there. The market streets are very narrow and it is located in the old city so you won't see any cars there. It is a cozy little Haveli and the room that we had was on the roof-top. You could see the fort from your window!! it was a small, clean,no frills room but it was awesome!
The restaurant is vegetarian but it has simple but tasty food. A lot of times we didn't want to venture out and just wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant. The Fort is walking distance from the haveli so that's a plus. Definately check it out- it was my favorite fort among all the ones we saw in Rajasthan! We also had a good shopping experience in Jodhpur so i have very fond memories of this place. The staff is nice and helpful. They have a lounge area by the restaurant where you can connect to WiFi. Overall a very good value for your money. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay, next to the fort, within 5 min walk to the fort, the most awesome view from the terrace to the blue city, and the most helpful staff, fantastic service and beautiful rooms with an extraordinary good taste. I was there with my parents for a few days over Christmas and Arpan Singhvi and his staff took the utmost care of us. Highly recommended.

I went to Singhvi's Haveli during my vacation from Mumbai to Jodhpur alongwith 3 of my friends. We wanted to enjoy & experience the heritage of India, basically the Forts & Palaces. Haveli gives you one of the best view of the Jodhpur Fort on one side and the Sun City (Bluecity) on the other, the view is truely amazing in the early morning and night time. Infact Haveli also gives you a kind of heritage feel, with the kind of ancient built and carving on the walls etc.
When we arrived at haveli we were greeted by the owners themselves and offered the wlecome drink. In the lunch we had one of the best food, it was having the real aroma and the flavor of the jodhpur.
The rooms are really comfortable and cozy, we were able to get a good bet for our money.
The Owners and staff are very friendly, they really spend time with you telling you about the history of haveli and jodhpur.
Overall I would recomment this place to all who are visiting Jodhpur. This is good place, worth for your money and time.
