This place is clean and this is a historic and interesting place to stay. The owners are hands on, present at the hotel all day. The owners will go well beyond any hotel staff at other places to make sure you are happy and comfortable. They will make good suggestions for day trips outside the area. The food is good and the staff most responsive and helpful. Climb up to the roof and have drinks there in the late evening and watch the city lights come alive, the fort is right there in front of you and lovely to view from the rooftop. The bed linens and towels were fresh and clean and we had a very good stay here.

Room Tip: The Blue room was great.

Singhvi's Haveli has everything. It's easily walkable to everywhere in Jodhpur, but it's far enough removed that you'll feel peaceful and calm when you are there. The food and service can't be beat. The staff is totally accommodating and informative. And the facility itself is beautiful. When in Jodhpur - don't stay anywhere else!

This Haveli has beautiful view of Blue city and fort..fort is very nearby..only 5 mins walking..but you will reach back side of the fort..not front side...where jaswant Thada is located..
This hotel rooms are very good..and the one we took was roof top room ig,spacious and fort view...too good experience..worst part is they do not have telephone in the room to call for room service...that is pathetic part..othervise room is good..please have tea in this hotel which is really good..restaurant is good..have dal khichadi and rajasthani kadhi...delicious

Room Tip: Roof top room is beautiful but no lift

We had the most horrible experience in. this hotel. The hotel does not have any lift. Moreover we have to climb very steep steps to go to the rooms . The rooms are so dirtily kept . Looks like the sheets are not washed for months..They had tied strips of rags to the cots which were smelling horrible . The mattress was very hard and dirty..When we complained about the dirtiness, the owners who are 2 brothers (Arpan & Darpan) was very rude and told us plainly to look for any other hotel. He also said that that the boys are trained to cater to the foreigners by giving them water bottles and looking after their comfort.Though we had intimated beforehand that we were aged people and preferred rooms on the ground floor, we were allotted rooms which had steep steps.. As it was late in the night when we arrived at the hotel,we didnt have any other alternative but to undergo all the inconveniences. The bathrooms were awful.
I definitely would not recommend this hotel to Indians .

Room Tip: If you can afford it the suite room is ok

I am a bit puzzled by all the positive reviews here. I don;t have anything bad to say about it- but i don't think it's super special either. We spent a night in one of their 1200 INR rooms. We also saw some of the other rooms. The only one that really appealed to me was the Suite on top.

First, the location is excellent. A quiet part of the old town. The view from the roof is nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and tried to resolve issues in a pragmatic way.

The building is a nice old building but the decor is Rajasthani kitsch. Not very authentic- the restaurant looks like any backpackers resto.

The main problem was the room. Again, for 1200 INR perhaps one cannot expect too much but our room basically had no day light, a bed so hard that we slept very badly, and, worst of all, a bathroom that emitted the stench of sewer throughout the room. Also no place to hand a wet towel so everything gets very damp (especially since there were no windows).

It may still serve your need but I found it a bit of a let down after reading all the raving reviews here.

A word on the food: the banana lassi we ordered straight after arrival tasted of garlic. This usually is a sign of poor kitchen hygiene/cleaning as the banana was probably cut on a board that had been used for garlic before. So we didn't have any further meals here.

Room Tip: If you can afford the suites go for those.

I spent a total of 3 nights at this hotel. I stayed in one of the nicer rooms near the top of the house.

I found the room to be very comfortable. I found the staff very friendly and welcoming. I was able to access Wifi from my room, but I know this was not possible from all rooms.

The house is located in an old part of the city that is not accessible by car - so you need to catch and autorickshaw to reach the place. I tried twice to walk back to the house during my stay, but the old part of the city is a maze and I ended up flagging a rickshaw to get there.

Also, while the owners are very nice and friendly, one of the brothers can be a little compulsive about the reservations. After you make a reservation, they want you to confirm your reservation 3 days before arrival - which was a little annoying as I did not have a mobile that works in India and that is why I made my reservation before I arrived in India. However, I understand that they are trying to keep their occupancy rate as high as possible and they don't want to turn away a last minute guest if you are not going to show up - so I understand why they do it.

I thought the food was very good. The view from the roof is excellent. You can walk from the guest house to the city's fort without any trouble.

Note however if staying here, you need to be able to climb stairs. Also, they do not accept credit cards - so bring cash.

I would be happy to stay here again. It is a interesting and relaxed place to stay.
