Great Small hotel in Jodhpur

Review of Haveli Inn Pal
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 15, 2019via mobile
This hotel is a haven of peace and calm in the middle of Jodhpur. The place is spotlessly clean with wonderful, cool bedrooms. The roof top restaurant must have one of the best views of any restaurant as it overlooks the city and you look up at the magnificent fort on the hill above the city.
The staff are very helpful and the restaurant serves very good food at night. We preferred the food here to the much more expensive Indique restaurant in the adjoining Haveli Pal Hotel.
It’s right in the old city so you can stroll into the bazaars.

Haveli Inn Pal. Jodhpur

Great location within walking distance to the fort and just inside the City gates so close to the bazaar.

Clean and comfortable our room (Room 7), was one with a view of the fort and it was magnificent.

Unfortunately, as others have said, the plumbing in this room does smell and WiFi was not great.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was served in the roof top restaurant and was fine. The views were better than the food.

There is a sister Hotel next door with a restaurant, Indique also attached. We ate dinner there one night and it was very good, again with good views of the fort and the city.

Overall, good value for money.

Room tip: We stayed in rooms 7 and room 3 on the ground floor. There is no view from room 3 but we found it quieter than room 7.

This place is situated at the rear of a very lovely old palace. It is very simply decorated and furnished. Beds were hard though so not a great nights sleep. Good location near to the clock tower and market. I was thankful we just stayed one night. I did not take to this city. It was dirty and dusty with very angry people. The hotel was fine for one night but if I had of stayed longer I would have wanted a bit more comfort. The only meal I ate here was breakfast which was simple but good. It has a good couple of shops for gifts, or for yourself, selling jewellery, pashminas, clothing and furniture.

Room tip: I cannot say as we were in the smaller havelli

Haveli inn is in the center of town. It’s a wonderfull place to stay. Really nice rooms, friendly staff and a fantastic view from de rooftop restaurant. I asked them something about the fantastic food they serve, a half a year after our visit and they where extremely friendly and told me all about it.

My husband and I were initially appointed room number 8 but we found it a little boxy and the view of the fort to be underwhelming. The next day we asked if there was a bigger room available and was given room 7. This made a massive difference with a great view of the forte and a spacious sitting area. The trade off was there was no WiFi in this room and the plumbing stunk.

The location of the hotel was fantastic right in the middle of the main bazaar.

Breakfast was good, cereal, coffee, porridge, toast and fruit laid out on a buffet and eggs, pancakes and parathas made to order. Housekeeping staff were friendly and welcoming. Although our stay wasn’t perfect it was adequate and we were comfortable.

This haveli is based in an impressive older building which has been modernised up to a point, although some minor maintenance issues were apparent. Having said that, we had a great room (number 11) with a huge bed that was on such long legs that a small table was provided to enable you to climb in...and it was very comfortable. There is good rooftop restaurant where we had dinner on one of our two nights and a good range on offer at breakfast. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and this made our stay. It is a good location - great views of the impressive fort from the restaurant and be sure not to miss the nearby step well.

Room tip: Number 11 is great
