I and my friend visited this place with a little hesitance about the services & reading the reviews over all. but to my surprise we were granted with the BEST of services here. I believe that the people make the place good or bad and the same I observed at the Newtons Manor. We stayed at the Pink room which was spacious and having all the modern amenities like AC, Mini fridge, LCD TV & lovely furniture :-) the most I loved about this room was it's bathroom :P It is elegantly designed with beautiful bath tub. Special thanks to the staff who allowed me to cook there and supported me with tit bits required ;-) They also provide driver's accommodation but since our driver was having his own, we did not opt for it. Cheers to the team & Special thanks to Shailendra ji for the support & making us feel home!! Would love to visit again :-)

Room Tip: Choose the Pink room. It is on the upper floor, having a bath tub & is quiet. Free pool table is...

Comfortable accommodation. An English-styled eccentricity complete with stuffed tiger (or an equivalent of) in the lounge. Evening meal basic, yet tasty. Beware of being charged for the (complimentary) tea on arrival. Pink room at the rear is quiet.

Mr Shailender made the experience memorable in a totally professional manner. Great room and outstanding food. The whole place has collection of great memorabilia and trophies from the past. A great value for money as well.

The only issue is limited parking space.

Its to far away from the town.

It feels dead. No life. Its old and out dated. The place needs a good lick of paint.

Saying that the room & toilet are clean.

Ok for one night but thats enough for us.

Staff also seem friendly.

We stayed for two nights at Newtons Manor in October 2013. We had originally booked to stay at another hotel in Jodhpur, but after a small drama we had to find somewhere else to stay! I am glad this happened though, as it gave us the chance to stay at Newtons Manor - it is lovely!

The people who run this guesthouse are extremely helpful and made us feel very comfortable. The furnishings are unbelievable. It is full of antiques (a full-size tiger, gramophone, working billiards table...) and creates a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The food is very good, tasty and healthy home cooking. The shower in our en-suite bathroom was the best we've had in all of India! I honestly cannot fault this wonderful place and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: They are all lovely!

Newton's Manor is a wonderful property, replete with antique furniture, busts of animals, high end motorbikes and even a stuffed tiger. Shailendra and the stuff do a wonderful job of tending to the place. The place has an old world charm to it, something that swanky new hotels obviously lack.

The room that I stayed in was clean if not very spacious (there was no closet, which I found to be surprising). Room service is a tad slow (this is true of almost all the home-stays I have had in Rajasthan) but the food is quite nice. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is both a pro and a con (depends on what one is looking for).

All in all, a place I would definitely recommend.

its an average hotel with over priced tariff. The rooms and toilets are clean but the service is not great as they claim to be. It was not at all a satisfactory stay. inspite of telling in advance our time of arrival in the city and booking, we had to wait for 2 hours before we could check in as the rooms were not available.the food is also that great.its basically a big house converted in to a hotel.they lack basic facilities like receptions phone and drinking water(paid). so if you need to ask anything, you need to go to the reception, no matter what time of day it is. when the electricity if off, you need to shut off the tv etc.
so not a great stay for me
