On our 6-7 day trip, we stayed in a range of accommodations from a family home to a luxury hotel to a budget acco to a fancy desert camp. Devi Bhawan was easily the best value for money on this trip. The location is slightly away from city center but Jodhpur is small enough that this shouldn't matter much. Every review here speaks volumes about the serenity of the gardens at this property and the reviews do not exaggerate. Absolutely lovely sylvan setting.
Our room was quite large, spacious and stocked with everything we could possibly need for a night halt. The antiquity of furniture, door handles etc added to the charm. We did have a problem with hot water running out too soon, despite us running the heater for considerable time. On a cold winter morning, you do NOT want to run out of hot water when taking a bath!
We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant here. The food was good, very reasonably priced. Dinner options are mostly north Indian dishes besides noodles, chopsuey and a sandwich. Breakfast was not overwhelming but adequate.
I'd definitely stay here when I return to Jodhpur.More
