Reasonably priced hotel with a great view up towards the magnificent hill top fort in Jodhpur. We booked on the advice of a guy we met who'd stayed there a few weeks before. The hotel is lovingly refurbished and has some fascinating architectural elements throughout. Our room was divided by a beautiful, ornate sandstone arch. The rooms run off a series of courtyards, with tinkling water fountains overlooked by galleries accessed by stone stairwells. There is a strong emphasis on 'Heritage' . Our room was simply, but elegantly furnished, and the room and bathroom were clean, as you'd expect from a hotel like this.

We ate dinner in the hotel's roof top restaurant each night. The food was excellent and the views up towards the lit fort and across Jodhpur were wonderful.

Staff were friendly without being pushy, and although they failed to meet us at the airport as arranged, it was clear from their pained response that they had been fed duff information by the airport, and they were pretty cheesed off. Slightly more expensive than we paid elsewhere - but very good value.

Not a luxury choice but full of character. you get picked up in an open top battered old jeep, which is fun. All rooms are different and have their own design. Ours was a good size with desk, sofa and fridge and nice little swing seat outside. Room was clean and bathroom was fine, you need to wait a while for the hot water to come through. Good location right opposite the central market. Lovely roof terrace/restaurant. Food good but not a great selection. Friendly helpful staff. A shame that the awning Haveli Hotel have erected stop you from getting a total view of the fort but it's still great.

Pal Haveli is a nice and quiet place amidst the lively and tumultuous bazar of jodhpur. The rooms are generous and clean. The hotel has beautiful wall paintings. The service is civil and friendly. The roof top restaurant is really recommendable: the food is tastiliy, the service is really nice and the view to Mehrangarh fort and the clock tower is really peaceful.

Pal Haveli has a great location being central and close to the markets and has a very good fort view. It is a nice hotel but certainly not worth the money. We stayed in a "suite" which was admittedly quite nice however we were greeted by about 10 cochroahes all over our room and shower. However this being India it was a small matter for us at this point in our trip, but certainly not expected for a hotel in this price range. The shower gave us about 2 minutes of hot water and the hotel did not pick us up from the train station despite assuring us they would meet us there. They do not accept credit cards which is a major hassel as the price of the rooms may require you to bring in a pile of rupees to pay the bill through a rather dodgy area, that is if you can find an ATM that is working and will accept international cards nearby(it took us about five banks to find one that would work) We stayed during New Years Eve and they required all their guest to pay 1000 rupees for a Gala dinner which to my surprise did not include drinks! Iwould have expected much much more than some basic curries and an average Indian meal for that price. There was atleast some entertainment which was wonderful however for the price it was a complete scam!
In my opinion it is very over priced, and I would think better options are easily found in the city.

It is probably one of the best hotels in Jodhpur. We talked to many travellers and they were impressed with our hotel and disappointed with theirs. It is obviously difficult to find a decent one in the area.
I truly liked it. I think the location is unbeatable, so are the rooms.

The only problem is the staff - they tried to give us the worst room, no TV etc. You just have to be very demanding and strong-minded. If you are, this is a great place for you!

From the frist look of the hotel, it looks exciting. But more time you spend there you find it not worthy of spending so much money. they charge you too much under the label of heritage hotel. We stayed in the hertage suite and it lacked basic aminities. room interior is very dull and makes you feel very boring. only good thing was the snacks & bar in the room for which they charge you almost double the money. You can buy them easily from the shop acrossthe road (i saw an attendant doing the same). Restaurant is also very costly and not much ooption in there to eat. However the sturcture looks amazing from outside and the local market is just around the corner. So you got what i mean to say. Nice place to visit but staying in the hotel is not so worthy.

Amazing location in the very heart of the city near the clock tower. We admired our driver that he was able to get us there right through the busy market place. And then you go through the gate and it is suddenly quiet. This haveli has just 12 rooms and the family is still living there. We had a very spacious room with AC, spacious bath room with shower and toilet and all clean. Our room was located at a gallery high above street level and had a swinging chair outside, where we could sit and watch the hasle of the market without being part of it. The hotel has an astonishing roof top terrace with restaurant, with an excellent view on the massive Meherangarth Fort, the clock tower, the narrow streets with the bazaars. And the prices are absolutely reasonable. Try the Rasjasthani dali for Rp. 300 (=EUR 6.00).
