First off, Ajit Bhwan is perhaps just a little over-priced. But at the same time, we did have a great stay there. The hotel retains an old-world charm about it, complete with a fleet of vintage vehicles that are available for hire - some beauties amongst the lot. The room was very spacious, with its own lounge and a massive marbled bathroom. The staff were generally very attentive, and the garden restaurant, contrary to what some previous reviewers have said, offered some excellent cuisine. In my opinion, it was one of the nicest meals I had in India. Breakfast was equally good.
Lounging poolside at the Ajit Bhawan will be hard to get away from, and I think many a sightseeing opportunity was missed in Jodhpur because we spent so much time next to the pool!
All in all, it was definitely an enjoyable stay at the Ajit Bhawan, and I would easily recommend this hotel to a friend. It is located in a nice area, and just adjacent to the hotel is 'On The Rocks', another recommended restaurant if you would like to try something else within walking distance.More
