Hotel Ajit Bhawan is a must visit for anyone visiting Jodhpur, stayed in room no 15 beautiful suite with amazing art deco, Large spacious bathrooms, the welcome was really nice. The whole hotel gives you a sense of being a resort with a feel of the old era. Their are various room options so take your pick as per your budget, . The breakfast is nice. The greenery around is really something at such high temperatures, an oasis in a desert. The food options can be be looked at room service on the slow side due to distances i guess. The Hotel boasts of the Royal Palace on the premise, with an interesting array of vintage cars parked there , do take a ride if time permits has a spa too did not use. Would love to go back for a longer duration in the winter to feel like a royal. A great hotel for a Couples & Lovers visit . The airport is super close so no hassle of traffic jams. All the staff always ready to serve you . The best hotel to stay if you are looking for something nice& reasonable

Room Tip: Go the Cottages

Luxurious hotel, luxurious service, luxurious stay! Unfortunately we stayed in this palace only one night, but i'm waiting for our next trip to Jodhpur to book another heritage designed room in Ajit Bhawan again) Everything is on high level there - hospitality, service, cleanliness, comfort, cuisine. There is a wonderful, big pool in there designed with some heritage items and fountain, also one part of pool is covered with roof, which is very comfortable for sitting and enjoying cocktail out of strong indian sun rays)))
Staff is very cooperative and friendly.
Nice stay. thnx to team)

We stayed in this excellent property from 26 APRIL to 3RD MAY. We enjoyed our stay as property is excellent and staff is very courteous specially ABOLI in reservations and RUCHIKA
at the front desk. The staff at reception is very helpful and friendly. Though staff in restaurant
needs improvement
ADVANTAGE
1)ROOMS ARE GOOD and though bathroom can be improved
2)You can enjoy privacy as the surrounding are very peaceful
3)There is a nearby MALL which can cater to your daily needs
4) Interiors are antique and well maintained. Property is well maintained and up to mark
5)Food at restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced. Choice is very limited for vegetarians
6)Located in the city and nearby airport
7)Reception and surrounding have been given palace look. Nearby there is a big palace where
owner of this hotel and royal family member lives and outside many antique cars are parked
giving a ROYAL LOOK to the hotel

DISADVANTAGE
1)BATHROOMS needs improvement
2)Swimming pool is pathetic and badly maintained

Room Tip: TAKE SUNCITY CAB for sight seeing(rs 750 for 4 hours ) and airport drop(Rs 150).Even for shorter distance they charge around Rs 15/km .There number is 0291-6888888 There is nearby a restaurant managed by the same owner with 300 meters which can be visited once If you are passionate for swimming avoid this property

Don't let the title of my review confuse you. We were guests at a wedding in Jodhpur in the first week of december (bloody hot; summer for any normal indian, peak summer for foreigners!) so this was not our choice. However, as we entered the property (which is right on the road), the short driveway led to the main entrance that had a few beautifully maintained classic & vintage cars on display. I think you can actually ride them for a fee. The staff was dressed in local attire, with the helpers dressed as rural local folk (with pagaris & ethnic attire). Neat.
The reception building is tiny & the reception itself is a small wooden counter with steps that lead to an area with sofas/chairs & steps that lead outside to your room. So you walk up & down & out in the heat to reach your room (any room that you may have chosen).
There is an outdoor pool (on the first floor) & an outdoor area outside the breakfast room with a bar. The aesthetics of the entire area are very barren (simple with wooden doors & limestone I think). I like color & lighting but this is not the hotel with such a decor.
The room is located in a square courtyard on the ground & first floors. There are other rooms located in various locations on the property. Hence, it is clearly not a single building that houses all guest rooms. The door is quite tall & bolts with a large padlock to lend an air of typical rajasthani style of living. The room itself is designed so that your luggage, clothes, shoes, etc are stored right outside the bathroom with sufficient drawers, hanging space & a locker (very useful for storing valuables). The toilet had a rather small basin & no foot mat beneath so the water splashed all over.
The rather dangerous & annoying aspect was the bathroom door as well as the main door that had pointed spikes (design I suppose) sticking a couple of inches out so if your legs hit it during the night (when your sleepy), you'll be yelling in pain. Took us a bit to get used to.
Other than that, it was fine. Very quiet area. No loud music or disturbance but anyone talking on the cellphone upstairs or outdoors can be easily heard since it's a courtyard.
The breakfast was poor because of the quality & taste of the items. The spread was sufficiently large but not appetizing.
Would choose a different room or a different hotel. The prices on websites are very high & do not justify the amenities.

Unfortunately we only stayed a night biy did we want to kick ourselves for not giving in to more nights here.
It is a beautiful oasis just outside the city. A pace still occupied by the royal family, this property is unbelievable.
It's so quaint and so luxurious. Our room 102 was grand and I we feminine with a wrap around sofa and large lounge and a separate and beautiful bedroom.
The bed is heaven !!!!
The bathroom with dual sinks and a rain water shower is so large you could fit a bed into it.
The property itself is spectacular and very tranquil. You can hear the sounds of nature and all it's wonderful creatures outside.
The pool is divine and features lovely sculptures and a cascading waterfall

The staff are attentive and very kind. They met our every need with grace

Again we are so sad we only had a night here. Will definitely without a doubt be back
