“Honest service with a smile”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Attentive service. No pressure. No haggling.
This family owned and operated shop offers a beautiful selection of textiles, handicrafts, and an antique collection that is impressive.
The chai was delicious and the pressure free shopping provided a much needed respite to the hustle and bustle of the markets. I purchased two beautiful scarves and a sterling tribal bracelet that is stunning.
I highly recommend shopping here and chatting with the owners.

“Amazing service and experience”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

Stepping into this beautiful shop is like stepping into an antique and textile wonderland. We can not speak highly enough of the manager and his team, who greeted us with chai, showed us all the wares and had a good laugh with us as well. Unlike so many other Indian shop owners, the owner was polite and happy for us to purely survey what was on offer, rather than pushing a sale. We spent a good hour and a half looking at all the beautiful things on offer. The shop caters for all budgets - a nice scarf is a good and inexpensive gift, but those looking for more luxurious fabrics or unique antique gifts will find a treasure trove in this delightful shop. A wonderful experience.

“An incredible shopping experience!!!!!!”
Reviewed February 13, 2012

I have been in Jodhpur on January 2012 and I went to this shop by chance.I was really surprised by the very good quality and the reasonable prices of their handicrafts.
It's a three storey building with a huge quantity of items from silk and cachemire pashmina to every kind of textiles, leather good ,furniture, antiques statues and so on .The prices are low because they don't give tips to anyone! The owner of the shop Manu and his brother speak a very good English and(incredible for India) don't urge you at all to buy. They were the kindest people I met in my travel in India.I greatly recommend this shop to everyone. It will be a very nice experience. The shop is located at 84-85 Nai sarak(before th Clock Tower Gate)

“Best antique, more than antique.”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

To be a super fan of fantastic India, I have visited there for 5 times from 2008. Visiting Ganesh Handicrafts is the fixed program every time.

From generation to generation, this family has been in antique collection and business for very long time. After opening the door of this 3-foolrs building which near by the noisy and messy old city center, it suddenly turns into a quite mysterious world. Just imagine, all the 3 floors were full stuffed by all kinds of exotic antique you could ever find in Rajastan. From small silver buckle to big woodcarving, from cute cloths chess to fantastic ruby jewelry, from plenty of maharaja style daggers to the only one piece puja tool from ancient temple….. oh I bet it would take you a week if you want to check the whole shop properly. Some times you could get some really big surprise from them such as the old silver ruby dagger I bought for my dad 2 yeasr before. It has been one of his favorite dagger collection.

They also have a pretty big choices of scarf and shawls. Besides most of the woolen or pashmina fabric which you could find in many places in India, they especially have some very fabulous local hand work pieces in many fabrics. It is said they have been in the shawls and furniture trading business for a long time.

The owners are very knowledgable and hospitality especially Mr. Manish Abani.

“India shopping at its best!”
Reviewed January 13, 2012

I have been to Jodhpur several times and one of my first urges is to go to Ganesh handicrafts! It's literally an aladdin's cave of really high quality goods (fabulous textiles, pashminas, leather goods, cushion covers etc) and the best thing is that there is no pressure to buy -but of course I do! It's the wonderfully warm welcome from Manu and his family that makes this shopping experience truly memorable.
