Stayed here for 2 nights, this kothi was formerly the residence of a chieftain of the area, situated a little away from the fort, great rooms, and breakfast. This was not the prettiest haveli that I have stayed in but it all the creature comforts of a moderately priced hotel. A great restaurant just outside the hotel called "gypsy". Rooms were quiet even though the situation is very lose to the main road. This is a vegetarian only hotel although eggs were served in breakfast.

We stayed here for several nights in January, and were very impressed with the levels of service and comfort. Our room (101 I think) was large and well appointed, bath with shower over. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a decent sleep, and a newspaper delivered each morning was a nice touch. The adjoining roof terrace was a good place to relax with a drink or snacks, whilst observing the comings and goings in the street beyond.
Tapan and his brother were very good hosts, and the staff were attentive and professional. Breakfasts in the garden were a nice start to each day, braziers next to tables keeping the chill off, food was both western and Indian.
We tended to eat our evening meals at the hotel, in the grand hall, formerly the dance hall, and the quality of each meal was consistently high.

The place provides a very comfortable stay in an ancestral home that has been converted into a hotel. It is clean, and well managed by two brothers. The breakfast buffet is served in the lawns at the back, and is quite good. The staff is helpful, and the hotel can arrange for local sightseeing as well. The location is also convenient, and there is not too much noise. The wifi service is free and the heritage feel of the place is well balanced.

We stayed here for two nights, trying to avoid mainstream hotels. It was a great choice; an ancestral home turned into a small hotel but with the feel of staying in a private residence.

The staff were great, friendly and helpful and we received a very warm welcome from the owner, happy to give us a short history of the place.

Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated giving it a unique feel.

Food on site is vegetarian and really good. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but we went out one night to On the Rocks, about a 20 minute auto rickshaw ride away. That''s about the same to the fort and cost us INR each way.

A good choice if you want a stay with a bit of character.
