Raj Mandir boutique home Stay is a perfect place to stay in Jodhpur. The hotel is located in the old city near (5 minute walk) Mehrangarh fort. The view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing and it's a pure delight to sit there and enjoy the food and the view. It's worth visiting the restaurant even if you cannot stay in the hotel.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel stuff is extremely nice and helpful and the service is great..

This place is a gem in Jodhpur old town. It is close to the fort & nested in blue house area. Inside the building is well decorated and bedroom is very cozy. Rooftop gives a wonderful view of the blue town & the fort.

Staffs are all helpful. Definitely recommended to stay.

However, this place cannot be reached by Taxi.

A really super homestay - slightly tucked away, but a bit of google maps ensured we found it every time. Nice rooftop restaurant with excellent views and good simple food. Rooms were cool and clean. Staff were more than helpful. Highly recommend.

This is the third hotel of the owner, and his most beloved one. You'll notice. The owner has a lot of experience in tourism and travelled a lot through Europe. He has put his experience, of what he liked and what not, into this hotel. As a Western traveller you'll like the mix of what you are used to (bathroom, bed style) and what you are looking for (Indian style and atmosphere).

You can't find the hotel yourself. And when we travelled in July 2018, the hotel was only onpen for 6 months, even not all riksja drivers knew it yet, but if they ask around, some will know. You need to tell them it is in the 'Navchowkiya' district.

Also it sits in the middle of the old town, where cars cannot reach it. If you come by taxi, have the driver call the hotel for directions. The owner will arrange a riskja to wait for you and drive you there. You'll have to transfer your bags from car to riskja outside the old city and then have another 10 minute drive.

From the hotel to the city center is a 1,5km walk or 15min drive by Riskja, costing 70INR, or up to 120INR in the evening back (since it is a lot more busy then). Walking is more interesting, though a challenge, but you'll get to see a lot of real life India. Walk during the day when it is a little more quiet. Don't walk in the evening, there is a lot of traffic then.

The rooftop restaurant is delicious! The cook makes great lassies, pancakes, Indian and Rajasthani food. We had breakfast there every morning. You'll also enjoy the breeze and views over the city there. And birds and squirrels that come visiting.

The hotel staff is friendly, can help you with laundry, taxi's and excursions. Most speak English well. Prices are fair.

I definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Set in the middle of real life India, you'll also get the after-sunset and before sunrise calls of the local temple. It's loud, but has a nice feel to it ;-)

Beautiful, fully renovated havalee with modern facilities. The owner is very kind and helpful; if there are any concerns he will take care of it. The staff is excellent... very well trained, polite, and professional. Their Indian food is great too! Highly recommended!
