“Pleasant experience at Nirali Dhani”
Reviewed April 27, 2012

After a long journey from jaipur, we just had a night to spend at Nirali Dhani and as always we were just hoping the rooms would be ready. The entrance of the hotel looks great and gives a warm welcome. We were impressed by the quickness of the initial formalities and we were heading to the room within 10 mins from entering the reception. The walk to the room from reception is through the lawn where normally some party keeps on happening which did not matter much to me. The rooms were traditional and very well maintained. The beds were clean and toilets were great. This ensured a great stay at Nirali Dhani. The waiters at the restaurant were very friendly and food was great. Beware you might overeat here as the waiters tempt you to order more. However the food quality is very good. The hotel is a little far from the city of jodhpur and the tourist places (may be a 40 min drive from Mandore Garden). So planning should be done keeping the distance in mind.

Room Tip: If you are too bothered about the sound of party late in the night, avoid taking a room facing the l...

Dear Guest,
It is such a pleasure to see reviews where we find our guests being able to find the value for the money they have spent and that we are able make their visit memorable. I am happy to know that you liked the food and the evening entertainment. We organizes entertainment every evening for our guests so that they may not have to go out to look for it. It is a daily feature with local music and dance.

Look forward for more opportunities to be of service to you.

As other reviewers have indicated this hotel is located far from the city making it difficult to find transportation to and from the property. One tuktuk driver refused to take me! The hotel pictures are artful, however they do not depict reality! The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom had a broken toilet paper dispenser and no paper; the tub was large but stained, thus I did not want to take a bath, opting instead for a shower.
There is a bar located in the hotel that seemed to be open most of the day. The first day of my stay I was sitting at the table and chairs by the pool, in street clothes reading a book when several very young drunk men (almost looked like boys!) exited the bar and surrounded my table. They began yelling and swearing at me; thankfully a staff member arrived and asked them to leave and assured me that they would not be permitted on the property. However, this was not true and they were seen entering the bar later that afternoon. Thus, I did not feel safe on at this hotel.
The service staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in both the restaurant and hotel. The restaurant served delicious food. There are many nice places to stay in Jodhpur therefore I would not recommend this hotel.

Weddings/ birthdays.
This is a party venue.
Please note the NOISE. This happens every night till 11.30pm and then there are many families staying there. After my 11.30pm speakers finished, i was then awoken at 1.30am with guests- the whole family checking out or checking in.

My room was not cleaned the next day

There are no windows in the rooms

There is an unfortunate camel and horse tied up in the grounds during the parties.
This is NOT a hotel for western visitors. Although there is a swimming pool too, you wouldnt want to use it as the hotel is geared for Indian visitors. This is not a high star hotel which one could feel comfortable wearing a swimming costume.

The breakfast is also pretty poor. Although they did offer the foreigners a plate of fruit.

One last thing. A VERY bumpy tuck tuck journey costs min. 150 rupees one way to the fort/ clock tower. It's bumpy because the hotel is not on a main road.

the staff helped me book a tatkal ticket. Though i had to re-enforce many times the importance of getting the ticket the next day.
It was done and i was pleased that they did so

Room Tip: don't stay if you want a quiet place

Very nice and clean rooms, very courteous staff....food is awesome.
The only drawback is that it is about 10Kms away from the city but we were ok as we wanted to stay at a place which is little out of the city. In the evening they conduct cultural programs which are also very good...Our Kids enjoyed a lot....
Would strongly recommend this place for someone to stay....

Room Tip: You can opt for the ethinic rooms if available...they are really good....we stayed in one of them.

We stayed at Nirali Dhani for a day.The property is good. The rides are available for a price. We stayed at the Ethnic Room, which is the best they had to offer. The room was good, nothing extra ordinary, just wonder, if that was their best, how would the other rooms be?? The room was spacious, but the television was very small. The room was quite dark.At night, entertainment is provided in the form of puppet show, magic show ( this guy was GOOD!) n folk dance. The entertainment is free but you are expected to pay tips....The balloon bursting game is not free. They wpuldn't perform if they feel you won't pay tips.Your children, if tehy go on their own, especially to see the acrobats, they will come back disappointed!

We had dinner at their traditional Rajasthani style restaurant "Padharo Sa" and had the Rajasthani food. The food and service was good, but hubby suffered a case of bad acidity. My son, hardly ate anything...

I feel at this price, we could have had a better hotel...

Hey Nirali dhani is real good , just go there to enjoy the delectable food ,awesome rajathani Thani in both the restaurants . specially try the yellow dal tadka , it was yummy.

There are a lot of hotel cultural programmes in the evening and kids enjoy the camel and bullock cart ride, a perfect hotel for families with kids .You can even go for a lake tour from the hotel which is quite close . Dont miss the NURSERIES ,for plants in case your are gardening fan like me.(They are quite close to the hotel)

Room Tip: Try to take a room with a window
