“Great place to stay with very friendly staff”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff who showed us to our room. It was basic but clean with towels provided. Our room had a sink but we opted to have a shared bathroom. It was small with just a shower and toilet but had hot water. There was a lovely green area in the centre of the hotel and also a roof top restaurant with views over Jaislmer. We arranged a camel ride through the hotel which was amazing and very good value for money. They also helped us book our next hotel in Jodhpur. They let us store our bags all day after check out and even use the room and shower before our 11pm train.

the hotel is located on the main square inside the fort. It commands exceptional view of the city however its an upward climb of about 200 mtrs from gate in the peak traffic hours when vehicle is not allowed inside the fort. The check in is smooth , the manager(captain saab) is very friendly. The rooms were neatly furnished, tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. One appreciates the spotless towels and bedsheets. The toilets were clean. Old bathroom fittings might be an eyesore though. The rooms might feel a little crampy especially the AC double Ground floor where we stayed. One non-Ac room also provided to us felt much spacious. The premises were kept clean and dust free. The feeling of staying inside the fort is unique. Down the gully we noticed several other guest house/hotels which were haveli types and are quite interesting stay options. The food in Paradise is brought from outside except snacks which is prepared in canteen. Its a bit costly (as is elsewhere!) and the free breakfast can be improved. Seeing our two kids they gave us a glass of milk and cornflakes along with the complimentary breakfast without asking for it. A nice touch. The service is excellent and prompt. The place feels very homely. There's a small garden inside with lots of chirping birds which my children really enjoyed. The roof terrace is a wonderful sit out especially at night. We liked the manager who was very helpful. He will arrange for your travel needs. It gets quite at night without any disturbing sounds. We liked our stay in this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the Paradise hotel in Jaisalmer for 3 days in the month of November, and what a good choice we made! The hotel is located inside the old fort and right opposite the Palace. The feeling of being in the old living fort, is incomparable. The rooms, done up to look like Rajasthani havelis, the small ornate windows, the terrace at the top of the hotel where we watched the sunrise and the sunset. The terrace of Paradise hotel stands high above the city, and one can see all the old haveli's, the lake, the beautiful buildings and then right upto the desert from here. At night with the moon shining above and the city lights as far as the eye can see.

The hotel arranged a Camel safari for us which was a superb experiance. Out in the sand dunes, sleeping under the stars, watching the sunset and then the sunrise in the desert, was awesome! The safari helpers sing beautiful mournful desert songs while you sip beer and eat a lovely rustic dinner.

Paradise hotel, its staff, cleanliness, food and its pricing makes it a destination to visit again and again.

Room Tip: Room number 105 is lovely. It has a great view and 3 beds!

The hotel paradise is a very nice option in Jaisalmer.
It is located near to the entry of the fort.
The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We booked a very 1-night camel safari from there!
Bus booking was also no problem.
I would recommend you this place for your stay in Jaisalmer

With panoramic views of the desert from both the balconies and the restaurant, this hotel in the heart of the fort is a fantastic place to stay for any traveller needing some peace and quiet, coupled with a friendly and helpful face at every turn. The camel safari too was excellent, which was organised by the hotel. A real and raw experience, accompanied by exquisite food prepared infront of you, that would be remembered by anyone who wants a genuine Indian experience. I could not speak more highly of this excellent hub of tranquility, all run marvelously by "the captain". Oh and the hotel ownes the best award winning camels in India (?!?!?!) (photos with the maharajas family etc....) A little bonus. Not something other hotels can say...
