This was by far one of the worst places I had the pleasure of staying in India. The room we were given was dirty, the windows were placed in front of a brick wall and it was really really cold even when outside it was quite warm. The worst part was everything echoed in this place. Our room was near the front desk and the staff would make noise well into the early morning. We could also hear when people would go up and down the stairs and everyone, the staff and other guests constantly slammed their doors. I did not get any sleep in this place! I don't know how anyone would. We even heard other patrons complain about the noise. If you stay here do not stay on the first floor!

I liked this hotel. Would really give it a 3.5 rating. The room had a nice window seat where I enjoyed a couple of Kingfisher strong beers each evening. It was also one of the cleanest rooms I had in India. There is internet available as well as a small exercise room. The only negative was the food in the restaurant was rather lackluster compared to other meals I had in India. Definately stay here but eat someplace else.

Upon checking in, we were given a small (4 meter x 4 meter) room with a tiny window. We were told it was the only room available, however the hotel did not seem full. The toilet worked but the shower sprayed all over so we took Indian showers out of the lower spigot. The third night we were given a larger room with a nice window seat. This was a mixed blessing since the toilet leaked. The staff was pleasant and there was minimal hustling for camel safaris. The waiter at the rooftop restaurant was friendly and we enjoyed talking with him. The food was okay but nothing special. After dark, there were rats on the rooftop and the next morning there were rat droppings on the table, but this is probably normal for most rooftop restaurants in India. The location was convenient - within walking distance of Hanuman Chwok. However there was a sewer smell in front of the hotel as you walked to the Chwok.

We went to this hotel as part of a group tour, but found it to be quite good. It was within 5 minutes walk of the centre of town and convenient to the main bus station as well.

The rooms were comfortable and the service was good. I went up to the rooftop restaurant at 6am one morning (I was told the night before that it would be OK) to find all of the staff still sleeping. One of them still got up and went to cook breakfast without any complaints at all - I felt really guilty!

I can't fault this hotel although it wasn't flash, but if you want a reasonably priced place to stay in Jaisalmer then you could do worse than this one.
