We stayed at Hotel Victoria for a few days at Hotel Victoria and had an unbelievable experience. The moment we arrived we had our room upgraded due to its unexpected availability for no cost at all. The original room was nice enough, let alone the upgraded room! The complimentary breakfasts were a treat, but the dinner prepared was sensational. We had all our meals on the rooftop, which offered spectacular views of the fort and surroundings. Sushil and the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service experienced was one of the best we had ever had, making for a splendid time at Jaisalmer!

A great location in the heart of the Jaisalmer fort with unique rooms and friendly staff. Some (maybe all) rooms have stone balconies overlooking parts of the city which are especially nice.

Our host, Mr Sushill greeted us upon our arrival and ensured that we are settled in comfortably in our rooms. He went to extra miles to make us feel at home and very welcomed. Even when he is busy with other guests, he comes over to our table to make sure that we got everything we need. Our only regret is that he couldn't join us for the dinner as we would be sure to be engaged in a very lively conversation. Thanks for everything.

From the moment the hotel arranged for us to be picked up at the station by Anna (wonderful tuk tuk driver who we subsequently used for sightseeing trips as he was very reasonable and non pushy) we knew we had made the right decision. Victoria is a lovely Haveli and Sushil (The Manager) just couldn't do enough for us). he was lovely! He even went out to bring me some tonics for my gin! What a trouper! Sushil also prepared a lovely meal on the rooftop terrace for us and our some fellow Swiss guests and didn't present us with a bill! The owner's Mother also made us nibbles and samosas so we felt more like a "family guest" than a hotel guest. I would personally recommend this hotel for females travelling alone or in pairs as it is very safe but I also recommend it for everyone. Lovely hot showers and banana pancakes for breakfast sitting on the rooftop terrace. What lovely memories we have! We also spent ages on the internet (free) sending and receiving messages from home and Sushil is now one of our friends. Travellers..... search no more Hotel Victoria is excellent in every way (and I'm usually very hard to please)!!!

We stayed here in the end of Feb. Read about it in TA and fell in love with the roof top pics besides the good reviews. And nothing fell short, infact every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Right from answering our first enquiry by Mr Pankaj Purohit to the last bye, every thing was perfect. Mr Sushil the manager is hospitable beyond words. Nothing is too much for him. From rustling up seperate dishes for each of us on the beautiful balcony night or day, to suggesting and planning our sam trip, to our conveyance onwards to Jodhpur..everything was just as we wanted..too good! Pankaj's parents too interacted with us giving our stay a personal touch. We got to buy beautiful cushion covers thanks to pankaj's mother! Thanks a ton all of you.
We stayed in Room 2, which has a 'jharokha' (a small sit-out-balcony), which was simply wonderful, though this particular room has a very tiny bathroom. But the jharokha more than makes up for it! The decor is very aesthetically and artistically done. The pics on their site are true to life, just as the hotel is.

We stayed here for 2 nights late February on our short 10 day whirl of Rajasthan. I'm really glad we made the effort to get to Jaisalmer. It was one of our favourite places. We stayed in Room 1 under the roof terrace. The room is nicely decorated and itself a good size however it does have the tiniest shower/wc (basically a cupboard). However, it was clean, new and supplied lovely hot water. Room 1 has a seated balcony area which is a wonderful place to spend some time surveying the city. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time here to fully take advantage of it...

We booked via email and the owner Mr Purohit was always prompt in his replies. The manager at the hotel Sushil is efficient, friendly and always on hand should you need anything. Although the place was a bit more expensive than some of the other havelis we stayed in Rajasthan, the complimentary soft drinks, food and views of the town really made it .

We stayed in a few non-descript places in Jaiselmer before finally finding this oasis. It was simply perfet for us - the beautifull rooms, the incredible views from the roofop, and of course the service which is out of this world. The friendly chap running the place couldnt do enough to help us - he was simply the friendliest guy I have ever met! And just you wait till you see the view from the rooftop...much better than a lot of other places we stayed in..sitting up there sipping on some wine while surifing the ultra fast internet was so cool!!
