The best place we sayed in Rajastan! Beautiful charming boutique hotel with amazing service. The owner is super nice and went out of his way to help us out. The food was one of the best if not the best vegetarian curries we have had in India so far. And you eat it overlooking the fort. Fantastic!

We ended our lovely tour of Rajasthan with a one night stay at Hotel Shahi Palace and we booked an overnight camel safari with them for the following night. Unlike others on Trip Advisor, we were not asked for a down payment nor deposit of any kind - unlike most of the other properties we stayed in. We were greeted with a welcome cup of Chai and a choice of rooms within our budget range as discussed in email. The room was clean, had a western toilet & warm water. The rooftop views were beautiful! Of the few TA complaints about location - we loved the location and wonder where the others have been staying in their Rajasthan travels if they haven't encountered pigs, cows and goats near their lodgings! We found this hotel a great backpacking stop.
The Safari was amazing - if a little over priced (by Indian standards). Our one disappointment was that we were led to believe by management and reviews that we would not see other tourists, and our campsite had several others located on nearby dunes (close enough we could hear their cell phones going off!) Nonetheless, it was AMAZING. And when we got back to the hotel as we gathered the luggage they had stored for us the owner immediately offered us, without our asking, use of rooms to shower and rest and then provided a complimentary ride to the train station. This level of service is fantastic!

This hotel really made our holiday. The rooftop terrace is a really great place to hang out with a fantastic view of the fort, and the food is really good too. The staff are all really friendly, and seem intent on everyone having a good time. We also arranged a camel safari with them which I would definitely recommend.
The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and have hot water.

Shahi Palace was welcoming, friendly and easy to stay in. We enjoyed the roof top a lot! It's got great sun during the day, a great setting for star gazing, eating from their restaurant, looking at the fort and watching the beautiful sunsets. Rooms were clean and tidy, amenities were good - hot high pressure shower!. Friendly staff that go the extra mile to help out. Internet access was quick and easy. Food was great.
Thanks Shahi Palace and your hardworking staff for a relaxing stay!

My sister and i loved our stay at Shahi Palace from the moment we arrived freezing from our overnight bus trip and were shown to the sunny rooftop and offered a welcome tea. Easy to mingle with staff and other travellers. It's clean, comfortable and a short walk to the Fort. They also organise camel safaris which was a highlight. The evenings got cold on the rooftop but a fire to sit around made socialising easy and extra blankets were always available. The brothers run two other hotels a few minutes away so there are choices in rooms and prices.

Adored this place. Loved the prices and, even more, the food. Khan, the master chef, cooked me up some of the best malai kofta, aloo gobhi, and aloo jeera I've ever had . . . anywhere, in India or in the West. With his disciples Dev and Jora in tow, I think I gained 5 kg in a week here.

Personally, I'm not much of a cricket fan, but I don't hail from a Commonwealth country. The Indians do, and they can't get enough of it. The staff at the Shai have their eyes glued to the superb cricket coverage offered, and their dedication to the matches is entertainment galore for me. Hey, I don't care if they were watching soap operas 24/7 if they can keep the service standard this high.

Now I've got to go burn off all these calories. Maybe when I'm thin again, I'll return here for seconds.
