Bada Bagh is a nice place to see the sunset while setting among the cenotaphs of Maharajas. The beauty of the place is spoiled by the presence of hundreds of wind turbines around the area. From photography point of view these wind turbines are bit irritating while capturing the cenotaphs during sunset. At the entrance you will find few local touts who will keep bothering you to hire them as guide to tell the history of the place, but any good guide book will give you the same information. So hiring a guide at Bada Bagh is pointless. If you are in Jaisalmer, visit this place during sunset.

It is a very good place to see sunset. Tuk tuk take 300 rupes from the town center to get there and back.

The cenotaphs are beautiful indeed, especially for those who want to learn primitive method of putting domes over structures. One side presents a very beautiful green picture. But there is monotony due to repetition of chattris which is very, very boring. Apart from those who have an interest in learning architecture, this place might not please others.
The place is photogenic!!

This is one of the most incredible places in the world (and it is about 35 years that I travel!).
It is like being in the middle of an enchantment just out of the "1001 Arabian Nights" tales.
I would strongly suggest to go there by camel, arriving either early morning or close to sunset; every time I have been there, the perfect light, long shadows and no other people around.

Like the heading says, visit this place to click good photographs, know a little bit more about the Kings of Jaisalmer. Few film sequences have been shot here, there are interesting stories associated with few of the kings - which would be other specialties. Entry fee was quite high and maintenance was not up to the mark - with that money, they can maintain it better
