The cenotaphs are beautiful indeed, especially for those who want to learn primitive method of putting domes over structures. One side presents a very beautiful green picture. But there is monotony due to repetition of chattris which is very, very boring. Apart from those who have an interest in learning architecture, this place might not please others.
The place is photogenic!!

This is one of the most incredible places in the world (and it is about 35 years that I travel!).
It is like being in the middle of an enchantment just out of the "1001 Arabian Nights" tales.
I would strongly suggest to go there by camel, arriving either early morning or close to sunset; every time I have been there, the perfect light, long shadows and no other people around.

Like the heading says, visit this place to click good photographs, know a little bit more about the Kings of Jaisalmer. Few film sequences have been shot here, there are interesting stories associated with few of the kings - which would be other specialties. Entry fee was quite high and maintenance was not up to the mark - with that money, they can maintain it better

Around 6 km from jaisalmer fort, we found this fort. Surrounded by garden, these cenotaph are build to commemorate the royal family.we came in the afternoon, had no guide with me but the story of it had been digested into my mind.each cenotaph was built for each bhatti rullers, and the combination of different in size and yellow stone just made them look amazing from every side. I almost forgot that they r actually silent tombs. They r just too beautiful...
