Hotel Gajju palace is great place for stay! Rooms are big, clean (not Indian clean, but really clean), rooftop restaurant was very nice (be sure to try curd or delicious french fries) and the fort view is simply amazing. We were traveling on a budget, so we decided to stay in room for 2 although there were five of us. Joey (hotel owner) offered 3 of us to sleep on the roof of the hotel(blankets, matraces indcluded), which was awesome.

Hotel has wifi, not the strongest signal in the world, but sufficent.

Hello J. Thanks so very much for the review. We at Hotel Palace and Golden Star Camel Safaris are vey appreciative. You were all a delight to have and we look forward to sharing our roof with you anytime. By the way, we do serve more than french fries and curd:) but I loved the compliment. Hope all of you are well. Joey and Mohan /NEW MANAGERS of Hotel Gajju Palace, Jaisalmer, India

Gajju Palace was a great surprise in Jaisalmer. After staying one night in a terrible hotel with no hot water in such a cold rajasthani winter, I was adviced to stay in Gajju. A great advice for sure - room was cleaner than any other in Rajasthan, hottest water in India (shower, not bucket!), and a helpful staff, even to show you the city around. Wi-fi was fast too.

stayed here last year
it was very affordable comfortable and a fun environment to be in between camel treks/train rides.
I was with 2 other girls all aged 19-20 and we felt very comfortable on the camel trek. the guides were very supportive and made us feel safe in the middle of the dessert and on top of the camels! we had lots of fun and enjoyed the cooking lessons and stories/history told by the guide.
our advice would be to not hestiate to ask questions/make friends as they were lovely and interesting people.
we wish he had more time in jaisalmer and would reccomend gajju palace and their camel treks to everybody!

en anglais :

InJaisalmer Gajju Palace is just a unique, pretty, charming place, with beautiful rooms and very pleasant for a price more than honest. The team magical, unique, helpful and full of beautiful energies. Majid (the owner) always an intarrissable source of help and smile, he will move mountains to help you, Caron who brings with her kindness and presence feminine the charm to this place. I still have in mind all these moments on their roof overlooking the fort, who were the source of so many discussions, help, smiles, meeting.

This place is just ideal and also a place to just relax, to learn from this city, to have some help to discover Jaisalmer and it's desert (safari you will be proposed by the managers of the place), to share with this lovely couple ( Majid and Caron), to walk in this town (you are less than 5 minutes walk from the fort and the market) to discover it's charming place with the help of Caron and Majid and all this for one low price, in very pleasant rooms, a restaurant on the roof, just beside the fort, and the market almost at the foot of the hotel.

really for me, this place is one of my favorite place in Jaisalmer and his team just a really nice gift. thank you all, the team Gajju palace, I wish you success and for the one who try to find the best place for stay in jaisalmer,if i can give you an advice: go visit them, you do not regret it, really ....

Staggering views of the fort from the roof top restaurant . The rooms were very well appointed and were reasonably priced for Jaisalmer.
Thanks to the staff who went out of their way to organise a tour, as well as helping us out when one of my friends badly cut his leg in the town (not in the hotel). Great hospitality.

Nice hotel, very good view of the Fort and the sunset is amazing from the roof top restaurant. I had a nice time staying in the beautifully decorated rooms with a reasonable price. Caron who is the owner`s wife is so nice, explaining a lot about the place, and also recommending shops where to get a good bargain.
I also had a very nice safari (2 day, 1 night), which was awesome. Thank you for your hospitality Caron and Majid.

Room Tip: Choose a room upstairs with a good view of the Fort.
